I know I'm going to sound extraordinarily nerdy even on an RPG board, but I like the idea of Warlord as something like Captain America: not the biggest powerhouse on the team, but can definitely get in there and mix it up, and makes everyone on the team better for his presence. I'd play that in a heartbeat.

That's what I'm envisioning the Warlord being like. If that is the case, then I'm in the Warlord camp (this is all speculation of course) and that's the way I voted.

I'll multiclass Cleric/Warlord

I don't think I have enough info to actually make a decision (about the 4e mechanics/fluff), so I'll refrain from voting, I've played both archtypes before and they can both be fun.

Role type I sounds cool to play. Type II is still ok too. Type III? Meh, boooring. And role Type IV, come on... puh-lease. Who wants to play that? Seriously.
Are you kidding? It's clear as day that type IV is four times cooler than type I.

Cleric all the way. The holy warrior is my archetype. But not necessarily. I also play the holy negotiatior/summoner who negotiates with angels to come and support him. Needless to say I am looking for the thaumaturgist to exist in 4e

I say "This is 4e, people. No party needs any given role and I've already made my character."

Then I play a cleric because I like to pretend to be more religious than I really am.
