You know what I would like to see? 1 new product idea for Fiery James, who is next?

I would like to see an illustrations book. 4 illustrations to a page, all the races, classes and monsters represented.

That way when I am planning or running a game I can just hold up a cool pic and say "you see one of these" :)

This a great idea. I am writing an adventure where pictures and portraits play a big part in the fun, so anything that could help would be wonderful.

Plus, I always thought the picture book with Tomb of Horrors was one of the best aspects of the adventure. Actually seeing what everyone else saw when they met Acererak or the before they entered the gaping demon head's mouth ;)

Kalamar is the only 3e publisher I know that still prints adventure this way. Me personally, I'm hoping someone is putting together a box set with an LCD project inside. :)

I think the best part is a publisher could just re-use all the art they have used. Instant book.

That or some brave, trend-setting publisher could just start making ALL of their art available online. I know I would frequent their site. ;)

Monte Cook's Banewarrens also had a bunch of pictures that were meant to be shown to the players.

YES! Really made it for me too. I mean, the product is quality, but that was the added umph that made it a purchase.

TSR put out three or four packs of monster cards WAY back when. Seems like they were approximately 150% the size of a regular playing card size. On the front was the picture, and it would make sense that the stats and monster name were on the back but I don't exactly remember. I don't think they covered all the monsters even in the 1st edition monster manual, but it definitely covered the staples.

One of the most useful products I ever had. But I had them for a very short time, as the "friend" I loaned them to up and moved on me. Later when I tracked him down in an adjoining county he denied ever having them.

OK, you've convinced me - I'd love to see something like this come back out. And NOT collectible style PLEASE! Even the boxed sets of the late 90s I waited until I could get the entire set - who cares that they were "less" valuable price wise if I had them all and could use all the pictures (though it seems like most of them were characters of modules and such).

What if you could get those images on a CD in jpeg form? Would that be useful? If there were over 1,000 together, covering pretty much every monster from the SRD?

One thing I'd like to see in monster book is a stat block at the end of the fully listed monster statistics. You know, have the full stat block so that it's easy to look at, and then the stat block at the end of that so that when I'm preparing stuff for my game, I can just copy that and leave the book at home.

Perfect! Sold!

I could use that for my online game. Those who had to print out pics ahead of time might not like it so much. Could you do color and B&W versions of each monster?

I'm doing something kinda of like that as an exercise to limber up my artistic muscles----I'm doing the creatures/races/things I like first, then I'll make myself do the others :) .....eventually, I'll post 'em to enworld for folks to use
