My Picks

1. Keith Baker running an Eberron game
2. Old One running a Faded Glory game
3. Rel running Sky Galleons of Mars game

I considered Sepulchrave & Sagiro, but with them it is more that I want to participate in the campaign they are currently running, rather than run a game for me (Although I am sure that would be good too.)

While Piratecat is a great DM, I have played in his games before.

Raven Crowking. I have a copy of his HR'd PHB, and it's amazing! :D

Ranger Wickett. I'd love to take the plunge into EoM with him some day :D

Nightfall. To see what all the big fuss about Scarred Lands is about ;)

Monte Cook and or Gary Gygax! They are the fathers of 1 and 3e and they would be a blast, IMO! :D:D

Mike Mearls. I think he'd run an amazing game, and if I could play Iron Heroes with him, all the better! :D

And finally:
Steven Erickson. He's the author of the series Malazan Books of the Fallen. Why him? My coworker is the son of a guy who games with him in his GURPS homebrew, whose character is going to be in his next novel. This guy has AMAZING books, and I'd love to game with him, even though I'd have to learn GURPS to do so :p

Also, if Dog Moon or Primitive Screwhead DM, I'd definitly play in a one shot if they came to Winnipeg ;);) *nudge**nudge*

My dream gm's:

Well my first warhammer gm, when we were still young and games felt new and cool. So, I want past version of him running games.

Then there is my current dm, I think is best ever, only he was so much better when he had more time for thinking game stuff, and not rl-work-related stuff. Yep, I want past back.

Oh, and I want past variation of my own passion for running games return for me too.

Of strangers I think Keith Baker would be cool. Mainly because I don't really like Eberron, but when I read his stuff on boards about it, I kinda start liking it.

I'd really like to know what kinda dm Monte Cook is, I really like his stuff. Rules stuff, at least. Though I like many elements of his story backgrounds, they are a bit too bland to me as a whole.

And then of course I'd like to find dm, that can put out as interesting stuff than some story hours here have. And one that is open-minded enough to accept my character concepts.

Then again, I kinda try to save strangers from me as a player. I am kinda demanding as a player.

Hmm,

1) Piratecat, becuase his campaigns sound exactly like what I've always wanted to play

2) Sagiro, because he also runs a campaign that fits what I'd call my "dream"

3) Kidcuthlu, hmmm, old one goodness and insanity to boot

4) Gary Gygax, I'd love to play some old school DnD and end up vaporized by a sphere of
annihilation

I'm sure I'm missing one or two here, but it's early, the caffine hasn't kicked in yet, and I'm at work.

Any of the big games industry guys (Monte Cook, Steve Jackson Skip Williams etc). Other people... Robert Rankin, Jeff Noon, Neil Gaiman and a host of other authors. Joss Wheadon and Peter Jackson as well. Oh, and Jack Black. And Stan Lee.

I'd love to play in one of Piratecat's games, or Ranger Wickett's.

To be fair though, most of my list is people I'd like to sit and have a beer with, let alone play in their games. Of course, the beer list is a lot longer.

Ugh. I'd have to mortgage my house to play in one Monte Cook's games.

I think everyone wants to play in their own game, subconciously, at least.

Gary Gygax.
