Your greatest level span in a campaign?

I remember my magic-user who rolled "1s" for hit points each of his first three experience levels . . . living to see the next day wasn't even a certainty!

He made it to 5th level, never died, before the campaign ended. I'm pretty proud of that!

Level 8-13 over the period of about a year, I think.

For the most part I run games, thus why the odd disparity. I came into that game about half-way in.

As for the highest range of levels for a game I ran, level 2 to...12, I believe. The game's currently on hiatus and paused right around the border between 11 and 12. It took place around the period of 3 years, broken up here and there. Probably around a year and a half, two years worth of straight, weekly play if it all ran back to back. I did throw a freebie level in there at some point due to down-time. So a level range of around 9 or 10.

The current campaign has the longest stretch. From 3rd level to 14th in roughly 2.5 years time. I imagine we'll hit 17th before all is said and done.

From 2 to 13 in 3 years (the last couple of levels took 1 year because I, the DM, moved and only came 2 -3 weeks a year)

Current campaign is about to end after a year and a half, levels 3-23.

The last long term before that went from levels 1-26, in about a year. However, due to lack of scheduling conflicts and what not, we were able to play 2-3 times a week for 8-12 hours.

The longest I've ever gotten to play in was a campaign that ran from like 6-17th level.

From the looks of everybody else's responses, my campaign is slow as slugs crawling through molasses.

From 1st to 8th and still going, in a little under a year. Longest range in any edition was from 1st to 17th, but that took about four years.
