ZEITGEIST Zeitgeist on Roll20 progress

I hate the Roll20 text editor sometimes. There is seldom a single handout where everything pastes in cleanly, even if I do most of the editing externally and bring it in after. So I have to inspect the HTML and clean up all the problems manually. Here, a character sheet for the lanterns at the palace was mysteriously not linking. The editor decided to wrap the first character in a useless span tag.

Once the html is cleaned up, the sheet is linked properly.

I'm writing a fantasy novel now where society is built upon a bunch of magical stone tablets, graven with laws that are inviolable, and which interact in odd ways. I need a few more examples of coding gone wrong for dumb reasons to integrate into the story.

Like a master monolith says that, "For temples to receive the recognition of the god of mercy, punishment by the temple must abide these rules: thieves can be branded but their blood cannot be shed, hecklers can be muzzled and...," but then a temple seeking to gain that recognition got a subtablet that referenced the monolith, but listed the wrong line, "thieves also be punished as described in line 35 of the recognition commandment of Mateshur,..."

And in combination with some other wording, it ends up saying that anyone who steals anything from the temple is struck mute. And the punishment happens even if the temple doesn't know about the theft. And when they DO try to brand someone, they won't burn because that punishment isn't codified.

Feel bad asking for updates every few days but been hearing that it's days out from release for well over a month now and making concrete plans based on that info, I can't rly keep doing that

No worries. I am sorry for the delay. Roll20 does not have a great patching process (some things cannot be patched at all), and I have to make sure that I am releasing the best product possible on the first try.
