ZEITGEIST Zeitgeist Publication Schedule

Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.
Thought I would wait for the dust to settle on the Kickstarter before asking this one (and was kind of hoping not to have to ask) but I can't help but wonder when adventure 6 will be released, and what will happen to the Zeitgeist release schedule after that.

Please could be have an honest appraisal of the state of play with regard to Zeitgeist. I don't think I can hold my campaign together if it takes another three years to release the remaining adventures.

It has now been 4 days since the question was asked. Should the lack of answer be taken as the answer?

No, the lack of answer should be taken as (a) it was the weekend, and I was organizing a drunken Oscars viewing party and (b) I've been busy as hell getting the Gamers Seeking Gamers seeking up and running.

The next adventure is in the layout queue (To Slay A Dragon and a Myths of the Far Future product also are in that queue).

Is there anything that can be done to ease the layout bottleneck? We are, after all, something like six months and three episodes behind schedule on Zeitgeist. And while most customers will have appreciated and sympathised with the unavoidable causes of each individual delay, it is disappointing that an AP that is already underway (with people partway through campaigns, etc) should be in the same queue as projects that haven't even started or are one-offs.

Would it be fair to say that it is a mistake to back future projects if we want to see current ones delivered on time (or even terribly late)?

Three things:

1) Clone Eric.
2) Reduce the stuff we produce (which isn't *that* much).
3) Stop having catastrophic disasters.

Seriously, our luck has been appalling. While that isn't an excuse, it has exceeded all boundaries of reasonable probability. We've had authors simply vanish the day before their deadline, never to reply to email again; sites hacked; illnesses and family emergencies; hell, the friend I was working on SPACE FIGHT! with committed suicide! -- pretty much anything that could happen has happened.

- This one in particular really sucks. S'okay though; Morrus has so far steered us through with the patience of a true captain.

I am also curious about this, since I am just beginning what I hope will be a wonderful Zeitgeist campaign. I'd be grateful if Morrus (or whoever) could provide the current estimated timeline for the publication of the remaining unpublished Zeitgeist adventures (Acts 2 and 3) - not to tie you down but more to give some indication about what level we will reach before we run out of plot!

Also, the campaign guide provides advice for altering the plot for abridged campaigns. If I knew in advance your rough schedule, I might be able to roughly work out at which point we will be on the last published module and then plan for that from the beginning.

I'm aware you've had difficulties here at EN World and I absolutely don't mean to sound critical in any way. I am really amazed by the high quality of your productions and I appreciate that producing such good work takes time and shouldn't be rushed.

That's just exactly it: an estimate of when you plan to publish the remaining installments (locust swarms and meteor strikes notwithstanding) would be lovely. We can then keep our fingers crossed and hope to be able to continue using your excellent adventures. But right now, no schedule of any kind exists and I'm in a very strange position with my group, in that we have spent longer on buffer adventures between Zeitgeist episodes than we have on the episodes themselves!
