Are you buying a DDI subscription?

I'm definitely buying the magazine subscription level, I'm loving Dragon right now. But I'm still very much on the fence about the higher level with the programs. Lack of Mac compatibility is a big issue for me. I know I can run under virtualization, but that's a lot of hassle.

    iPhone 4E Apps?

Good question. I want to write one myself, but have no programming background. Also, it would be awesome if WotC could present the DDI Compendium information in an iPhone layout.

D&D 4E Just purchased the WotC 4E Character sheets

Just purchased the official D&D Character Record Sheets at my local Borders. Initial impression: you're probably going to want to save your money, unless you like power cards and don't have access to a cheap color printer. The package is a cardboard pocket portfolio, similar to what you used...

Do you think you will play on DDI?

Probably not… The thing I want most from DDI is an computerized character sheet, with day of release (or at least within a week) additions of the supplements when they come out. Sounds like DDI may be offering this, but I'm not sure they've said if this will be a client app or a web app. If...

No Macs? Holy crap did WotC do the math wrong!

I'm a Mac user who couldn't care less about the virtual game table. My group meets in-person, so we have no need for it. BUT, I really, really want the online character sheet. For me, the biggest barrier/time sink as a player is the time I spend updating my character sheet, especially if I want...

Races of Eberron *Update - Couple of folks have it - Ask questions here*

I saw this book in my FLGS today, but didn't pick it up because of lack of funds at the moment (tax time). I will be buying it as soon as I have the cash. One disappointment - the cover is brown and matches the standard D&D books, not black like the rest of the Eberron books. I'm kinda bummed...

Eberron Novel: The City of Towers?

I just finished this tonight. Wanted to add my positive review to the thread. Very fun read, and it's got me dying to play an Eberron campaign. My current campaign is in FR, but I've convinced my DM to allow me to introduce a warforged character into the mix. Can't wait. I recommend the book to...

    Comcast DVR or TiVo DVR?

Go with the Comcast DVR I am a longtime fan of DVRs. When TiVO and ReplayTV both first came out, I bought one of each. I used both for 30 days, and decided I liked ReplayTV better, so I sold the TiVO to a friend. Since then I've been an avid ReplayTV user and have convinced several friends to...

So educate me about iPods ...

    > he's always owned Apple computers. If he still owns a Mac, then the iPod is the only choice that makes sense. The iPod is so well-integrated into the Mac OS, it's a perfect extension of the computer. You can literally open the box, plug the iPod into the computer, and (if he already has music...

    Play-by-email strategy games

wargaming.net has two play-by-email-like games available. Massive Assault Network and DBA Online. I've only played Massive Assault, and it's pretty fun. Both have free demos available.

    Anyone get Fable yet?

I'm thinking of picking it up over the weekend, but would love to hear some "real people" first impressions of it first. I not a big console guy, but I like the idea of lounging on the couch and playing a great fantasy crpg. Does Fable fit the bill?

    Yet another D&D Online article

World of Warcraft will probably be out 9-12 months before D&D Online, so you could play WoW until D&D Online comes out, then make your decision. Then again, I'm playing in the 7-day WoW Stress Test right now, and it's pretty fun, though it seems pretty far from being ready for release. There...
