How have I never seen this thread until now? My character has had a chicken for a familiar since 2nd edition. In 3rd edition, I believe she granted my character (depending on the campaign) either a +1 dodge bonus to AC or +2 Reflex saves.

Haha. I like picturing my character like a video game character and visualize dropping the different items from the DMG into the item slots. As a side note, forget scrolls of greater invisibility... get scrolls of GREATER BLINK. A Ring of Greater Blinking would be a sweet magic item.

Potions Galore Consider a Masterwork Potion Belt - drawing a potion/alchemist fire/acide as a free action is highly useful. Once you get the cash, pick up a Heward's Handy Haversack. This is a must have for every PC. Good luck! =)
