It's all good. I shouldn't have said they were flipping the bird in the first place, as it was inflammatory and I also don't actually envision the employees of WotC sitting in their offices, plotting against us. I need to stop posting grumpy things before I've had my coffee.
You're putting words in my mouth. I said I was HAPPY that people like Essentials, and that I even like some of its contributions to the game. I have never believed that Essentials is "invalidating" my older books. Some people might, but I don't. I'm mostly concerned that Essentials is the shape...
I'm glad some people are happy with Essentials. Heck, I like a fair amount of the new class builds myself. I don't want Essentials to go away - I just want them to give me the old style of content, too, because I vastly prefer it.
We can all have what we want, but WotC seems determined to...
Most of my meager contributions lately have been bitching about Essentials, which isn't terribly representative of my thoughts on the game. I love 4E! I bitch because I love! So I'm starting a thread where I, uh, actually talk about the game, rather than stoking flames.
Anyways. I'm statting up...

Meanwhile, I love...
My DDI subscription just lapsed - through no fault of my own, as a glitch caused them to lose my billing address! I would get the issue fixed except that I'm not really losing out on anything other than access to a new character builder I can't stand and mind-blowingly boring Dragon articles...
I'm willing to give them some time to iron out the launch bugs, but so far this is unusably slow and much uglier and more cluttered than the old CB, which was pretty ugly and cluttered.
I am really disappointed so far.
