If you really wanted to have 1-on-1 fights, but didn't want to bore anyone, you could just run them all simultaneously. Just have more than one map set out and run it like any other encounter, except that the PCs can't get to each other.

I noticed the speed thing, too, but then I realized it was probably for the purposes of at-will powers that allow you to move your speed.

I'm willing to give them some time to iron out the launch bugs, but so far this is unusably slow and much uglier and more cluttered than the old CB, which was pretty ugly and cluttered. I am really disappointed so far.

I agree that they were never worth buying in the first place unless you really like them aesthetically. They're very pretty, but you can get a month of DDI for less than a single pack, and your access to the character creator doesn't go away once you let your subscription lapse.
