    D&D 5E Is D&D 90% Combat?

Yes it is. Combat is very time consuming. 30-40 mins or more to go through about less than a minute of in-game time.

    D&D 5E DM Theory?

I signed up for enworld back in 2002. Started in 1999, with AD&D, but at the time 3E was coming out and switched over fairly quickly. I prefer DMing, my friends rather be players. Our longest game I think lasted 3 years in early 2000s, when I was in college and had a lot of free time. Recently...

[ooc] dnd - the nameless [thread closed]

I personnally don't see a need for a major rule overhaul. I believe option 2 would suit the game perfectly, but then again I don't play in the Nameless yet. About starting over, I believe that the Nameless have been around for a considerable amount of time, the players don't necessarily want to...

[ooc] dnd - the nameless [thread closed]

Interested as well I too would be very interested in playing. The concept of having very common people do extraordinary things is great!

    Here Comes the Jury!

My 2 cents? I voted yes. I know it's harsh, but murder is as much a crime as what that commoner was doing. Taking law under his own hands like that is clearly not "lawful". Decapitation is far from what is expected from a paladin. Killing a evil man is one thing, but slicing his head off is...

Anyone Played Spiral of Manzessine (Dungeon #94)?

That's the one that ties with City of Spider Queen, where the PC's run through some prison. I've never played it, though.

    Flavorless 3e- Advantage- players

Because players are not DMs. They don't understand the whole creative process of the D&D. Players who don't have DMing experience are used to being spoon fed. Some players tend to think that the DM's job is to give a hard time to the PCs. So they see the new rules as some kind of punishment, and...

    Wich setting makes you drewl?

As long as were talking about ancient cultures and countries, I like Rome the most. I studied 4 years of latin and Roman history in highschool, I'd like to see some of it put to good use. They told me it Latin was useful , what a load of bs.

    Planescape: The Fruit of Deceit

Anunsil sighed again. Well, I think this is the first time I'd prefer the presence of Hardheads to someone else's. The elf non-chalantly thrust his right hand into his spell components pouch and waited for the Harmonium. OOC: At the first sign of violence, I cast mage armor

    Planescape: The Fruit of Deceit

"And how are you going to do that?" Anunsil replied to Thaddeus as passes by. "I am going to keep the crowd in order. Me and what army?"

    Planescape: The Fruit of Deceit

Great, just what we needed, another riot in the Hive, Anunsil thought. He places himself between the feuding Hivers and says: "Look cutters, there's no need to throw punches around. We don't want any riots starting. There might even be a slim chance that the speaker over there won't be...

    Planescape!

BTW, Anunsil's spells prepared are: 0- message, detect magic, light, ghost sound 1- mage armor, reduce person, sleep, mount 2-detect thoughts, blindness/deafness, rope trick 3 - dispel magic x2

    Planescape: The Fruit of Deceit

Anunsil listens some more. Something irked him, the impossibly slow factionneers that were supposed to kill the speaker weren't showing up. He turns to Thaddeus. "Odd, don't you think? The berk's been yacking away for more than a half hour and yet no hardheads have arrived. Next, he'll be...

    Planescape: The Fruit of Deceit

Anunsil sighed. It was only a matter of time before someone stick a sword into that poor man's gut. Although he would soon be a dead-er, this speaker was more eloquent than the regular barmies he saw yelling in the streets of the Hive. Maybe what he has to say would be interesting. Perhaps, the...

    Planescape!

Fellow Montrealer Hey, Velmont you're from Montreal! So am I! Hurray for the transit strike!!! My character is progressing... I used the standard point buy to get my ability scores. Skills and feats have been chosen. Now all I need is the gear. Which might take a month or so. :)

    Planescape!

I am also very interested in Planescape, although I have never played in one. Planescape: Torment the computer game really made me see how wierd yet deep the setting was. If there was a game brewing up, I'd definitely join.
