    Pathfinder 1E Paizo site down?

So does that mean it was too awesome for the website to contain, or sucked so badly it drew the website in like a black hole?

    Pathfinder 1E Paizo site down?

Hey, maybe they're doing a major update of the site... :) Wouldn't mind an update of the FAQ system.

Mini Lists for all D&D HPE Modules

I love the lists, but the one I was looking for, P1, the link goes to H3, which we just completed. Would it be possible for you to correct the link?

    changing templates help

as long as you can qualify for the template, you can add it. I know its not exactly what you were asking, but as an example, there's nothing preventing you from making a half-dragon/half-fiend/goblin as a monster, so it wouldn't prevent you from taking a class and gaining a template. Just like...

    Monk Items stacking

My first thought was no, but after looking at both, I'm leaning towards yes. They have different prerequisites, one requires spells, the other just that the maker is at least a 10th lvl monk. And the fact that the monk's tattoo states it doesn't stack with another monk's tattoo, and not that...

Magic Items To Assist Grapple Checks

From the MIC: Brawler's gauntlets 3/day +2 on grapple checks and damage with unarmed strike for 1 round. 1,000 gp Gloves of the Titan's Grip 3/day +8 on grapple checks for 7 rounds. 14,000 Cloak of Quills 5/day while grappling, deal 1d6 points of damage to grappling opponent. 2,500...

    Protection from Eldritch fire

They errata'd the level of the EB years ago. It's a first level effect, unless you add an essence and/or a blast shape to it.

    Protection from Eldritch fire

Well, first off, he must have a golem bodyguard... ;) Other than that, I don't know of any rules for resistance to eldritch blasts. there is a spell to make natural armor bonus into deflection bonus, which would increase the touch ac. ray deflection is invaluable (spell compendium: ranged...

Should XP be given by Encounter Level or Challenge Rating?

Officially xp is granted by CR. EL is just a system to judge how difficult the encounter is. Using the DMG they suggest to hand out treasure by EL, but I've always done that by CR as well, and now with the MIC's treasure tables, they have you go by CR too... But that's getting off the subject...

    Rapid Summoner

Yeah, from the way Malconvoker is set up, you can tell it was intended more for clerics than wizards. It works for either, but it's more useful to clerics than to wizards. Or a better way to put it is clerics get more out of it than wizards do.

Rules Discussion Touch Spells/Stacking/Duration for a Duskblade

Ok, your DM was correct, but not for the reason he gave. You could have done all that you wanted, but the shocking grasp would have been discharged harmlessly when you gripped your greatsword to attack with it. You only get that damage when you arcane channel the spell through your sword...

Couple a' tricky ?s for ya

:1: As the others have said, special abilities would stack in your example. :2: The only way I know of to enchant clothing is using the Magic Vestment spell. Of course, crafting custom magic items is and has always been up to the dm. If the dm would rule that a very well made set of clothing...

    See invisibility & Mirror Image

Hmm... This question intrigued me. So I had to research it. Where did you get that See Invisibility doesn't see illusions? Blur is an Illusion spell, same level as Mirror Image, and SI can't see through the blurring effect. The reference in Mirror Image about Invisibility is that it...

"Hit me again!" - Masochistic Classes/Prestige Classes

I'm currently playing an Ardent (from Comp Psi) that is very close to what you're talking about. At first level I took the Life and the Pain & Suffering mantles. The P&S mantle has a special ability that I can expend my Focus as an Imm action to cause an attacker to take half the amount of...

Cloud of Bewilderment (SC) - Too strong for a 2nd level spell?

Well, at lower levels, yes it is a very powerful spell. I played a bard with it, a friend of mine in another campaign played a conjurer with it. But after 5-6th lvl, we really didn't see it all that often. Of course, we didn't have that particular feat combo for either of our characters, but...

    Spells I Never Use

I tend to agree. While I don't outright ban myself from using a lot of these spells, I do tend to not prepare them, or use them as a last ditch kind of thing if they are prepared. Just curious about something. Do your casters not have good Concentration skills? If they cast defensively...

    Power attack with a bow?

None for bows that I know of, but there is a feat that allows you to PA with a thrown weapon. It's called Power Throw, and has Prereqs of Power attack, and Brutal Throw (which allows you to use your str instead of dex for attacking with throwing weapons. As for your other question, the only...

    In search for a feat

Well, there's: Evasive Reflexes from ToB that allows you to take a 5' step instead of an AoO Or there's Sidestep from Miniatures Handbook. That allows you to take a 5' step once per round after taking an AoO.

    Custom Reincarnation Tables

I've searched several different message boards for this topic, but have not had much luck with it. I've only ever found one table that someone came up with. Does anyone out there use a custom Reincarnation table? I've got a couple of homebrewed races that I'd like to add to my table, but I...

    Casting Defensively a bit much?

You just have to remember one thing... What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Your pc's are swarming your NPC spellcasters, expecting to get AoO's on them when they cast a spell? Just have them cast defensively. In games I play in, the NPC's use the skill way more than our PC's do...
