[sblock=History]
Drisdhaun was the youngest son of a minor noble house that was destroyed in an opportunistic raid. Even as his house was brought down around him, he managed to rally a few guards and led a desperate escape.

Unbeknownst to him a detachment from the Abbil-Belern mercenery group were involved in the raid, and the commander took note of the desperate escape attempt. The commander allowed the escape channeling into a ambush where Drisdhaun was captured.

When he recovered he was offered two choices, dissapear as if he had been slain and join with Abbil-Belern or leave. Realising that as the youngest male of the house, and most likely the only survivor, he would most likely spend his days as a homeless vagabond if he managed to stay alive after his house's enemies found out he was still alive, he made the decision to join the mercenaries.

Drisdhaun is an ambitious and driven individual. He gets on with his companions, valuing teamwork in and out of combat but is often comes across as cold and calculating.

Abbil-Belern relationship with gods.
I was thinking that the mercenary company had a friendly relationship with the priestess of Lloth and had worked with or for them in the past. They simply do not have priestess in the company.

Drisdhaun has a special interest in House Tormentor. It is perhaps the third most powerful in the Vault of the Drow. Rumors continue to circulate that they have a patron god or goddess other than Lloth.

Hmmm....If I went fighter, would I get an heirloom item(what are the limits on this?) . What are the old-school greyhawk gods? I was aiming for a death paladin instead of typical lolth.

Could I interest you in a god of elemental evil? It's kind of a mystery cult but there could be a ranking paladin in the company, who keeps a low profile.
Yes Elder Elemental Eye requires living sacrifices, but is otherwise uninterested in his followers activities/morals.

Other Gods:
Istus (fate) N
Wee Jas (magic, death) LN
Olidammara (music, revelry, rogues) CN
Xan Yae (mental & physical mastery, twilight, stealth, shadows) N

Its slim pickings for gods known to the drow that are not totally evil like Nerull, Incubus, Hextor, Iuz, Thazaidun etc.

Otherwise the heirloom item starts as a simple magic (+1) item. It will increase in power as you gain levels.

Thoughts on this new feat from the Shadar-kai article:
[sblock=ooc]
Spiked Chain Training [Multiclass]
Prerequisites:
Dex 13, any martial class

Benefit:
You gain proficiency with the spiked
chain. You can treat the spiked chain as a double
weapon and a light blade. As a double weapon, the
spiked chain deals 2d4/2d4 damage, and it gains the
off-hand property. For more on double weapons, see

Adventurer’s Vault, page 10.[/sblock]

It seems more drow-like than the double sword.

I'm not a big fan of either double weapons or spiked chains.
A magic double weapon is effectively two level 1 items. So its a bit much for a heirloom item. Although the normal rules for the second head are reasonable once the item has an additional power.

The most popular drow weapons are rapiers, long and short swords, hand crossbows, daggers and parrying daggers plus maces for the non-martial classes.

I do like the drow fighting style feat that allows you to fire a hand crossbow with provoking attacks.
