OOC- Conuld 1d20+6=24; Tommy (unless you want to roll for him) 1d20+2=20

Conuld is unwilling to immediately loose a crossbow bolt at these men unless they make a threatening move. He says "You are outnumbered and surrounded by my companions. Stand face to face and hug each other tight."

OOC - readying an action to shoot if either man attacks him, any of his party, or any innocent. Who's running Tommy? My inclination would be for Tommy to do much the same as Conuld - ready his crossbow, hope for a peaceable surrender, but be ready for the worst.

Saithnar's Initiative- (1d20+1=6)

Sensing the sudden rise of hostile thoughts, Saithnar closes his eyes for a moment to create a mental shield around his body for the coming tussle...

OOC: Spend 1 PP to activate Inertial Armor and raise AC from 11 to 15.
Round 1: HP- 8/8, PP- 4/5

OOC: Init Check (1d20=9)

Rathan looks over over to Conuld as he yells for cludge.... his face contorting into a painfull frown..... then looks to his new found friend sailors... then grins! ALRIGHT my new friends.... next round's on me if those two over there *he points out the two at the dartboard and NOT Conuld* are taken down alive!" the priest smugly nods and smiles thinking he's turned a bad situation to good as he points yet again to the two men and yells... " Get them!"

OOC: So, initiative order is:

Conuld
Tommy
Solange
Rathan
Saithnar
Rogues

***

Tommy pushes the "women of the evening" out of the way and hastily readies his crossbow, ducking behind a nearby table. Meanwhile, Conuld nervously readies his crossbow, aiming at one of the rogues.

Rathan shouts his orders, although whether or not it works remains to be decided. A few of the drinkers are obviously too confused to act on Rathan's command, while some of the others would rather have a barfight that *didn't* involve weapons. Rathan can make a Diplomacy check (with a +2 modifier due to his earlier actions with them) against a DC of 20 to see if he can sway them to fight next round.

Saithnar mentally activates his shield.

The two rogues, a bit stunned as the whole tavern erupts into life, exchange worried glances with each other.

"We're surrounded, mate" the first rogue mutters.
"Looks like."
"Should we fight, or run?"
"looks like we have no choice."

The first rogue, rather suddenly, throws a dagger at Conuld. (OOC: Conuld can take a shot before the rogue throws his dagger, of course.) The shot was made in haste, though, and Conuld is able to duck out of the way as the dagger slams into the wall behind him.

Tommy fires off a shot that ricochets off the table near the rogue and buries itself into the rogue's ribs. He grunts and grabs his side with one hand, blood already oozing out between his fingers.

Rogue's Thrown Dagger Attack (1d20+2=5)
Tommy's Crossbow Attack (1d20+2=20)
Tommy's Crossbow Damage (1d8=2)

The second rogue, perhaps a bit more wisely, dashes for the door.

[sblock=OOC] Sorry to interrupt the flow, but something just occurred to me, when I was thinking that Conuld could have handled his Blacklily 'bullying' problem better. Does a specialist wizard get a bonus 0 level cantrip? Opinion seems mixed. If yes, I clean forgot to give Conuld one - and for that matter, he didn't have a transmutation one at all. Fixed - added Message. If no, add Message, drop Light.[/sblock]
