If Paizo had gone 4E ...

There are 2 ways to address the question:

Dear 4E Player,

If Paizo had gone 4E, would you be buying their material?

...and of course...

Dear 3.X Player,

If Paizo had gone 4E, would you be buying their material?

Of course there are always diehards like myself, who would buy it either way, but with the potential relaxation of the GSL in the next few months, it seems like a timely question.

I am a 4ed player. No need for any more 3.x stuff, but

If Paizo makes any 4ed adventures (down the road), I will buy them.

I was/am a big fan of the Pathfinder modules. Very, very great work. But I switched to 4th edition (boxed away all my over 3k 3.5 edition stuff), and stopped using their stuff.

I would return if they went 4e. :)

Unquestionably I would. I wouldn't mind if they were set in the Pathfinder world (which was good, but somewhat generic) or another one, but if they had the same writers and general attitude as the Pathfinder modules, as well as the same quality construction, and inclusion of a lot of room for RP and so on (moreso than say, any WotC 3E adventure I ever came across), including great NPCs to hate and some very creepy situations, then definately.

I hope the GSL gets revised to the point where they feel comfortable with publishing at least some 4E material, though I'll be surprised if that's the case, given that they've kicked off their entire own game.

Hell yes. I would've converted ST or CotCT had my group wanted to run that campaign.

Granted, it depends on if their material matches my campaign. I don't really anticipate using the 3rd AP. And the second half of RotRL isn't my taste.

However, Paizo = Quality. You bet your bottom I would.

I would probably stop buying the APs and possibly switch to their mechanics light Pathfinder Chronicles. Since the APs are published every month and I'd be more selective about the Chronicles, they'd lose money on me.

Eh I tend not to buy based on the company, but instead the product.

If they produced something that I found useful for my games, I would buy from them. If not, then I wouldn't.

I've never been a big adventure buyer though, so if that's what tehy did, chances are I wouldn't either way.

(I like their flip mats a LOT.)

I wish more companies put out side treks too. Side treks and quick encounters are very useful.

Heck yes. I'm a massive Paizo fan-boy, but my group has gone 4e and we're loving it. Canceling my Pathfinder sub was brutally hard, and I'd be back in a flash if they started publishing 4e modules.

Side-note: I truly believe it's possible to convert the 3.5e Pathfinder modules to 4e rules, but I wasn't paying $x per issue for their (outstanding) storylines, atmosphere, and NPCs. I was paying for the convenience of having a great module ready for play.

I've been finding it much easier to convert older (1e and 2e) Dungeon adventures, rather than the Paizo 3.5e Dungeon and Pathfinder modules. Probably because Paizo has always pushed the envelope (in a good way) in how the rules/monsters/magic can be used. I'd love to see this same ethic applied to 4e.

I'm still playing 3E and will probably continue doing so for quite a while but I'm not interested in buying any more 3E material than I've already got.

I'd definitely consider buying 4E material from Paizo, though.
