"Stupid metal," Supreme Girl mutters, as she finds that her X-Ray Vision fails to come up with any information.

"Too much interference with metals in the walls and inside the museum, I'm afraid, I can't really see anything," she then comments with a shake of her head.

After listening to the rest telling of their finds, she looks thoughtful (as if that's actually possible!) before she makes her own observations.

"Well, maybe we should make a distraction from one side and then get in from another side? If we turn off the power to the building they couldn't see us if they got access to cameras, right, and then we could take them by surprise by coming from a direction they hadn't expected." Well, maybe there is a little something up there, hidden amongst all of the air, but it's just rarely used.

Paula ponders Bulldog's response. "Then perhaps I can reconnoiter in my incorporeal form. I wouldn't be able to trip any wires then."

Upon hearing of Supreme Girl's report: "Supreme Girl! Try concentrating on specific areas of the building instead of doing a quick sweep with your X-ray vision. It will probably take longer but you might be able to get better results."

OOC: Basically suggesting she take 10 or 20.

Maddick grunts. "You heroes are just itchin' to see if sumthin' goes BOOM arentcha? Tripwires might not be the last of it. They could have motion sensors measuring optical or acoustical changes. Hell given their backing so far they might even have passive infrared hooked ta 100 pounds of plastique for all we know."

Obviously the grizzled cop is no fan of superheroes....

"Have you been able to see anyone through windows? If I can get even a glimpse of one of them, that should be enough, I can see through their eyes and take a look around without putting anybody in danger. Alternately yes I could probe the burnt guard's mind, but I doubt we'll learn anything more from him than we allready have."

Psyker stops and glances at the building. "Any way to get onto the roof without alerting them? Chances they had time to place Motion Sensors on the outside are slim.."

[sblock]Psyker is using Passive Mind Reading on Maddick, in case he isn't being completely forthcoming (surface thoughts as a free action). due to the sutle, it requires Mental/psychic awareness and a DC20 notice check to tell he's doing it.
Read Minds Power Check vs Maddick. (1d20+7=9)
If he beats 9 with a will save, I don't succeed at 'hearing' anything. :( bad roll. :(

"But that'll take so long time!" the Supreme Girl whines. "Why not go in and then beat them up? I mean, they are bad, we are good. And good always conquers evil in the end."

"I am sure you could beat these guys up without much difficulty. But that will not prevent the hostages from being killed and our goal is to save the hostages' lives first and beat up the bad guys second."

And the sky is blue. In case you didn't manage to notice it

Psyker finds Bulldog's mind closed to him. Evidently upon hearing the words "Psi-Ops" one of the first things the Cop did was attempt to close off his mind from intrusion.

The only windows on the building belong to either "wing" of the museum but the Grand Hall itself has no windows or obvious ways to look in & out of the building.

The roof may be a possibility, but again the security system may be in the hands of the baddies. The Museum itself certainly has its own alarm system on the roof.

OOC: Posting these as a reference but the building is way newer, shinier, & almost pristine. With two large building 'wings' going to the left & right.

David has a thought and begins to scan the area where the police and Freedom Leaguers are to make sure that there are no recording devices currently being used by the perps to pick them up.

(OOC: Taking 10 on Notice, for a total of 28).

Dragonfist recalls his training in Zanshin; a state of total awareness. It means being aware of one's surroundings and enemies, and also being prepared to react.
Immediately the hero picks out that behind police lines there are several members of the crowd using camera-phones. One guy actually has a camcorder and News Crews are setting up.

None of them have a good clear view of the heroes, but certainly their presence at this point is common knowledge to those in the area. Soon it will be on the nightly news.
