Hey UK mate!

Hope you doing good, eager to see new stuff for the new edition :)

Anyway, sorry for going off topic here, but do you happen to have a backup of the Chronicle (?) thread you've once posted here? As you described there in short an awesome idea for an immortal adventure and I'd love to use it :)

Well, see you around and thanks in advance!

No need for UK to do it, with the capabilities of the new ENWorld server. I found the thread just by going to "Display Options" at the bottom of the page in the forum view, and choosing "Beginning" in the "From the" box. Here's a link for you though, while we're on the subject- and since Godsend should incorporate a few things from what would have been Chronicle, it is actually on-topic for this thread! :) Other posters who have joined this forum recently, too, might not have seen it, so it's worth posting a link just for a read-through.

Hiya Belzamus mate! :)

How's Godsend coming along? Any major progress so far? Can't wait to see what's to come.

My usual sloth unfortunately. Though I have been working on the magic system (dimensional magic) and just trying to make it is as simple as possible - its already pretty simple in itself, but I think there maybe some problems in 'crossing the streams' as it were and allowing different dimensional magics to work in tandem.

In ten days time I am off work for over 5 weeks, so I should be able to wrap it up during that time (the text anyway), as well as make some headway into the 4E Immortals Handbook.

I am doing pretty good, thanks for asking.

Thanks to paradox for stepping in while I was away. ;)

I appreciate the interest. I know I have been slacking of late, keeping the writing going is tricky even though I am only working part time (part of that is because your sleeping patterns are so messed up - working nights). But I have some time off soon and I'll try and make the most of it with getting things finished and having as many website previews as I can manage (Both for Godsend and the 4E Immortals Handbook).

Hey all!

Okay, just found out that I'll only be getting three weeks off rather than five weeks off. Which is a trifle annoying considering it was a bureacratic error in work that led to the mistake. Anyway, I'll try and squeeze as much into those 3 weeks as possible. Hopefully that will be enough to get Godsend sorted.

I'll also put in to take January off as well to get the 4E Immortals Handbook finished.

Ah, that would be indeed awesome if it would be available in January. But I guess wait and see is more adviced than to get your hopes up ;)

Anyway, thanks for all the work UK! And maybe I find the time and send you my own ideas for powers, items, etc at some time in the future.

I've mentioned this before but its almost impossible to get anything substantial done during a normal week even when I am only working part-time on this nightshift even when I basically have the perfect rota to give me the maximum number of consecutive days off (without getting ridiculous and doing the whole month's work in one go).

What generally happens is that your first day off work you sleep in (because your 'bio-clock' is still used to being up at night, which means I probably get up around 5-6pm. That means trying to get to sleep that night is a total nightmare - anything before 5am is virtually impossible, which means you sleep in late the next day too. You get it back about 3 hours per day, which means by the time you are back to normal its time to go back to work.

I am experimenting more with working in the middle of the night but it still feels weird. Its not like getting up in the morning, putting in your 8 hours work and then unwind the rest of the day (my unwinding is often me brainstorming one project or another).

So throw in your regular real life stuff and the time honestly does seem to disappear.

Looking at the regulations, I can seemingly take 3 months of the year off on unpaid leave (as long as it doesn't involve December). I may try and set things up so that I get one month off every fourth month. That should be sufficient to get things back on track (or at least back on track for me that is). It would also take a bit of pressure off the other three months (out of the four).
