Immortals Handbook website back up

Slight heads up just in case the immortalshandbook.com website goes down. I am moving over to a new host and provider (getting the new and old websites under the same banner so to speak) so if the website is down over the next few days* (or week or two) its just me sorting everything out...not to worry. Also wait til you see the new website. ;-)

*hopefully might only be a day or so.

Hey Upper_Krust!

Howdy LunarSquid amigo!

Back from Romania! My time there was a little shorter than expected, but it was great.

Was the place as beautiful as they say? I have seen some videos, looks gorgeous. Hopefully get to visit in the future (when I am not so busy).

Glad you had a great time.

Super excited to hear the project is still chuggin' along. Wishing ya the best!

Some days its like gazing into the Abyss (trying to finish this thing).

Behind the scenes I have been showing some of it to people (overwhelmingly positive responses) and making a few minor tweaks based on feedback.

I still can't say I am in the final month of writing, so I am not going to start hyping things until I know I can wrap it all up in 3-4 weeks.

Just to be clear though, EVERYTHING is going great. Currently I am working on Chapter 6 (of 7 ), which is the Artifacts chapter. Artifact building rules (very simple), build up to 10-dimensional artifacts, Gods of Craft (& lots of adventure hooks surrounding them), Soul Objects, Artifact Beneficial & Detrimental properties, Tables for randomly determining how to destroy an Artifact, New Armour & Weapon properties, 36 New* Materials and then 40 pages covering 80 (or so) Artifacts: 2 pages on Armour, 2 on Axes, 2 on Bows (& Xbows) etc...though 6 pages on Swords. With art on almost every two-page spread of the book, including lots of full page art, double page art, magic items. The majority of items are illustrated (although some are in art featured in other parts of the book - a note under each artifact lets you know where you can see its art).

*I think that 36 includes Mithril & Adamant (which you all know) and you likely know Orichalcum (though I changed it from my 3.5E version) as well as a few others like Neutronium; but about 30 are arguably completely new to D&D...oh and two full page illustrations each with 18 swords showing a sword made out of each of the new materials (so they make sense), the first 18 are "Materials of the Gods", the second group of 18 are "Materials Beyond the Gods".

So everything is great. Just taking longer than expected because I am a bit of a perfectionist.

Spor la muncă

Thank you!

Howdy Khisanth amigo! :)

30 new materials sound very interesting!

I hope people like them. I think the list is 36 (last time I checked) but that includes materials like Mithril and Adamantine.

The materials go up to 9 Dimensional, I do have higher materials but I'm struggling for space in the book as it is, so its still 50/50 if that will make it in.

Each "plane" (such as Feywild and Shadowfell) within each "dimension" (of consciousness, not spatial) typically has at least one material (some, like the Astral Sea & Elemental Chaos have more). Plus of course we also have the "Heavy Metals" (like Neutronium) and also "Exotic Matter" (like Anti-Matter) types.

I'm also trying to put more focus on the materials rather than the powers of a weapon (although they can still have powers of course), so to have a +5 weapon, you will need a material that can handle that amount of power, etc. That typically means you need to go exploring.

Dimensional NPCs will typically have a common and a rare material (for gods of that dimension etc.). So while Adamantine is rare on the Prime Material Plane its a common material for immortals, but they have more powerful, rarer materials.

Quick question: As the website is down and I currently have only the v4 pdf... was there ever an effort to work out the CR value of individual class features? I know a full class level is worth +0.8, but what if I just want to give a monster uncanny dodge or turn undead?

Thank you in advance to anyone who can answer this question!

Quick question: As the website is down

Only just saw it. I switched to Squaresoft hosting (for the new website). Thought should be hosting the old website too. Will look into it today.

Thanks for the heads up.

There is a thread in this forum with the free v.5 download (AFAIK).

Uncanny Dodge would be equal to a feat. Count prerequisite feats as extra of course.

I must have rated Turn Undead somewhere. But it was probably better than a feat. +0.5 I would guess.

Thank you in advance to anyone who can answer this question!

Not sure if I have helped. I'll do a look for the v5 thread link. Only my tablet at the moment.
