My GM's gonna start a new campaign, one of the Pathfinder Chronicles and I'm playing a Cleric for the first time in years so I need some help. That is mostly because of the player setup because we're not having a traditional Fighter in our group, so I'm looking at a role as main healer and tank or at least Melee damage dealer.
So the facts:
The Other Players: Soulknife, Mage and lastly Ranger or Rogue.
My stats: 16,12,16,12,17,12 (since I'm gonna have to go Melee).
Race: Human
Alignment: CG (The city has Asmodeus as most worshipped Deity so that might be fun).
Deity: Gorum(CN), Chaos, Destruction, Glory, Strength, War
Favoured Weapon: Greatsword
Books: Core, Complete, PHBII
Spells: PHB only, for now.
Campaign goes from 1-16
So I want some tips on surviving the first levels while not gimping my fun at the later levels.
As Gorum had FW: Greatsword and War Domain he was hard to resist.
Feats: Augment Healing is pretty obvious although I may have a secondary healer in the group. DMM is also, but not at 1st. Thought of taking a Fighter feat or two to be more effective at Melee combat, but that may gimp my higher levels.
I don't need to be overeffective, most important is that it's fun.
