Now that WotC made the (disappointing) decision to no longer produce D&D miniatures, I wonder if there is any other alternative, similar in quality and price.
Anyone knows?
Thanks in advance!
I don't really think there are many alternatives out there if you want a bunch of prepainted miniatures. There are a lot of good companies that make nice unpainted metal, plastic & resin miniatures - Reaper, Warhammer, Confrontation from Rackham, Fenryll, Shadowforge and others.
Back in the late 90s when I had a bit of free time, I tried painting myself. However, marriage & fatherhood put the kibosh on that... luckily, I've had jobs that allow me enough spending money to hire people to paint miniatures for me. (Plus, I don't spend money on habits like drinking, smoking, etc). For individual minis, I've spent a pretty good amount. I've also gone overseas for some cheaper painters in Asia for cranking out a whole bunch of orcs, goblins, dwarves, etc. I've had pretty good luck with that.
I've also bought painted minis off of eBay in the past.
