Jakandor gets my first vote - I mean, this was pretty much a setting that was designed for 4e! Arcane culture versus Primal culture - this is the sort of thing 4e would be great at handling, especially considering the setting's focus on dungeon crawls, crazy magic, and exploration!

Second vote is Masque of the Red Death, if only because I would love to see 4e try to tackle something that it is not necessarily designed to do... it'd be a great way to for me to mine the designers for ideas. Of course, much more likely, wotc would turn Masque of the Red Death into "Monster Hunters Incorporated" where fedora-wearing avengers hunt dozens of werewolf-mummies in the international museum of exploding magic-sigils.

Something new and NOT like Eberron or FR, so in other words, ACTUALLY new.

Not necessarily in that order, either.

Well,i think the question is:what idea has not been used yet?
we have all sort of settings in D&D and/or AD&D. if something different have not been used yet,i don't know what it is.

I posed this very same question earlier.

I refuse to believe that there is nothing new that hasn't already been done. Just because neither you nor I can think of it, doesn't mean there isn't something awesome waiting to be invented.

Well for starters, we could use a setting that's based on Pirates of the Caribbean, or we could have a setting that would be based on Conan's Hyboria and would be a bigger version of Hollow World.

Poop! I entirely missed Urban Arcana on the poll...

Yeah, I'd like to see that. Or just Dark*Matter in it's entirety, with Star*Drive too.:D

I reckon they have their traditional fantasy covered with FR (which I don't care for), contemporary fantasy covered with Eberron (which I care for a lot) and their "violent counterpoint to FR" covered with Darksun (which I rather like, but I think it may hate me).

I don't really want to see them do horror - I just dont' think D&D is well-suited to that style of setting, mechanically. Sure, a good GM and a compliant group could make it work, but they could do that without any crunch/fluff provided from Wizards.

Ultimately I'd like to see them try for modern again - maybe they could do better this time than they did with d20Modern. Urban Arcana would be a good springboard for me to hack into a sci-fi-with-magic variant, as well. So that got my vote.

I'm surprised Planescape isn't leading this poll by a country mile, though o_O; It's definitely what the rest of my group would have voted for.

IF Spelljammer does get made for 4e, I would love Eberron and Athas (Dark Sun) to have their own solar systems, just like FR's Realmspace.
