(OOC - So we're heading to town, Indy. Just in case that wasn't clear. :))

OOC: Got it. We're packing for the trip home tomorrow, so give me a day or so to work things out and we'll get back on track. Might even have time to look at it on the ride and have a post ready when I get home.

Sometimes I think you have a crystal ball. On the mornings when I wake up and say to myself, "Man, I really need to get back into my games," I can always count on something from you later in the day. Kinda like you saying, "Yes, please get off your lazy ass and post something!"

And it's true, I've been terribly lazy. I've been trying to think of a fancy excuse, but I can't.. I just haven't felt like it. I wanted to make the next post something big and insightful and introduce tons of plot hooks and whatnot, but it's just not coming to me. I have put some thought into it though... just not enough, apparently. I promise I haven't forgotten though!

Doh! If I can help, at all, please let me know.

If need be, I'm sure I can pull a hook from Talashia's background and give it over...or perhaps just brainstorm!

OOC: Shayuri, you've done it again! I was determined to make this post today, and after a day out on the town, I've just now had time to get home and get to it. I've got to get me one of those crystal balls you're looking at!

The Thorndale locals are mostly craftsmen and carvers who use the woodland's trees as raw materials for their crafts. The building are composed primarily of wood and thatch. The whitewashed temple of Pelor is the hamlet's only brick structure, and stands in stark contrast to the rest of the town.

The people are hardy and strong, their hands thick and wrinkled from years of woodworking. But despite their robust appearance, dark circles hover under their eyes. Even the children seem to worn out to play.

As their are no direct trade routes leading through Thorndale, the Blue Oak Inn is empty of overnight guests, though there are two room available for visitors should they happen by. Wood-carved knickknacks and handcrafted furniture spread throughout the common room show off the local industry. The barkeep, a thin, needle-nosed man named Marius Reddlehare, wipes down the empty bar.

The common room is buzzing with whispers of Marshal Ternsval's disappearance.

* The local children speak of playing with a bunch of pretty butterflies that glowed different colors, enticing them further into the woods. One of the older boys got scared and pulled the rest of the children back into town.

* No one sleeps well these days, and the hamlet is beginning to suffer. Two city merchants have already withdrawn their contracts, damaging the hamlet's economy. The mayor is desperately writing letters to nearby guilds in Timberfall promising that things will improve.

* Two travelers, a human and a halfling, stayed at the inn last night. They wore dark cloaks and slept in shifts in the common room. When morning they followed a deer trail into the woods, pulling a heavy handcart behind them. They kept to themselves, and paid double to be left alone.
