Any new or recent fantasy rpgs released?

Are there fantasy settings or systems that has no classes - character point buy system, or semi-skill-based system where the magic system is not skill-based like GURPS (each spell is a skill) but is more effect-bas4ed or spell list? Anything that have been released in past 2-4 years that published. Looking for high fantasy or sword & sorcery type rpgs with lots of playable races in a unique world. Talislanta in one setting I but any others? Wrahammer Fantasy 3e is too much to invest in. No Savage Worlds or any other step-dice systems, ugh! like Earthdawn.

Legends of Anglerre is very good. It's FATE based.

Strands of Fate. Not purely fantasy but generic. FATE based as well.

Arcanis: the World of Shattered Empiress is very good as well. (magic is not effect based, though).

Maybe if you provide a little more details on your likes and dislikes, we might be able to help you more.

The systems I do like M&M3e but not many published settings for it, Storyteller or Storytelling system but disliking the one book per splat format, I am liking Eclipse Phase system as well. Most what I like is in my first post.

I do not like skills as spells mechanic, step-dice systems, I'm getting getting bored class-based systems or descriptive systems like FATE - I like my numbers. med level of complexity and easy math type mechanics.

Settings-wise anything high fantasy, high-magic, lots of playable races, tech level does not matter either way.

Burning Wheel fits your description (unless by "step dice" you mean "dice pool" - BW is a dice pool system). The new edition - Burning Wheel Gold - has just come out.

I know of them both, but don't actually know either system. Is the idea that you die size increases depending on circumstances/character build?

It just that I do not like switching between the different types of dice in RPGs. I'm one of those that like the one type of dice like a D20, or many of the same type of dice: percentile dice, many D6's/D10's/D8's and so forth. It's one of my many ADD type flaw which I confused in a way.
