Given the apparent modular structure of D&DN I wonder when enough modules will be available to play a game of choice.
I'm currently a satisfied 4e GM, enjoying its balance, tactical combat system and the AEDU power structure. Sounds like I'll need at least two additional modules to play D&DN with this style: Advanced Combat and AEDU Classes.
Additional material might be books/articles about stuff like feats, perhaps even skills; this depends on how much the Basic game offers in this regard. I could play with a smaller selection of feats for a start, of course, as long as the mechanical structure for the element is available.
Higher level stuff like - to use 4e vocabulary - paragon paths or epic destinies isn't needed; at least not on day 1, perhaps never in my games.
So the release date of the Basic game in July twothousand-whenever probably won't be the day I can switch to D&DN. But when will be the day, three months later, six months, a year?
