Aspects of D&D that have made you fed up?

Multiclassing in 3.5. I love 3.5 and I love multiclassing, but after a while it makes me want to flip over tables. Ranger/ wizard/ eldritch knight? Fine. Fighter/barbarian? That's cool. Fighter/ Ranger/ Barbarian/ Exotic Weapon Master/ Swordsage/ Tempest? You've got to be kidding me.

Oh, a few things...

1 - Without animals D&D would be way too boring for any of us. We rather have everyone get a familiar/companion option than just a few classes. My fav bard and his dog are a great team. So are my barbarian and her war elephant. :) Of course we changed the familiar rules quite a bit, too.

Changing this cut down the annoying need of having to play druids or wizards to have a companion animal.

2 - Vancian magic. I may not have said it often enough, so here it goes again. It's the one most frustrating, nonsensical, super annoying, boring thing D&D ever made.

3 - Super-multiclassing. As someone else mentioned before. Classes must make some sense together.

4 - Nonsensical treasure - why do monsters have wands, staffs, potions (which don't seem to ever go bad) and the like? Why do some monsters have stuff that's considered treasure by humans, at all?

4 - Badly placed monsters in commercial adventures. Sometimes it would have made sense to read the monster description to know they couldn't be in the climate they were put in!

There are probably a few other things, but that's the most of it. Luckily, All of it was and is adaptable with house rules.

This is not always a problem but at times in my gaming career has depending on where I have lived. particularly Gulf South region.

- Finding players and groups that are not 100 miles away in some areas.
- Conventions that say they are RPG but are nothing but Warhammer or Wargames or gtfo. No RPGA.
- Flaky games which fall apart or flaky players who do not show.

When you are in the "finding a game" or "finding gamers" trap, its a headache if there is no FLGS or the store is a wargamer store or comic shop which could care less for DnD. Single players that advertise can never get together. Groups never advertise because why bring a stranger in when everything is okay?

Ranger abilities that aren't about what I want Rangers to be -- wilderness Fighters with extra skills and fewer feats.

Spell casting, animal companion, favored enemies, and two-weapon fighting are all weird distractions for us!

Another thing that sometimes annoys me: hiding the bodies after we've been playing D&D in the park or in an abandoned building. I mean sure, you know you have to clear the bloodstains from your clothes and hands and face, but thinking of a new place to stash the "less fortunate" members of the party every time has started to become a drag.

And we're probably doing it wrong, because none of our spells seem to work.

Yeah, characters with half a dozen classes get my goat.

However, I've become absolutely sick of prestige classes. I've banned them from my pathfinder game. Alternate class features are starting to get the same way.
