what isn't an rpg that should be?

I'd like to see a few things as an rpg or a setting with enough house rules to make it work.
Dune by Frank Herbert
Codex Alera books by Jim Butcher
The Elven Ways by Jenna Rhodes (not a very good series, but amazing setting and world)
Magic: the Gathering
Spyro the Dragon (admit it, it would be fun)
Fallout (every time I play New Vegas I think I want to make it in Savage Worlds. Fate could work too)
Lego (either the film or the video games)

I agree with several of these. Would love a Codex Alera rpg and Dune. I think Grimm could be a nice urban fantasy rpg.

I don't know that much about Grimm, but there is a Supernatural RPG. It does a good job from what I've seen of modeling the "walking the earth and fighting monsters" vibe.

The original Fallout was loosely based on GURPS, so it wouldn't be hard to turn it into a tabletop game.

I'd like to see the old 80s Cartoon The Centurions as some kind of rpg. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQT00ZSVzcg

Actually I think the original fallout and fallout 2 rules behind the video game where published as an RPG somewhere.

The "Chronicles of Riddick" universe.

We have seen only sketches of it in the movies, but it looks interesting enough for a RPG setting. The galaxy seems pretty chaotic, mercenaries act as bounty hunters, there is no interstellar police or military organization. So you might be one of those mercs. You may have a researcher or religious background. You may be a human off-shoot, result of genetic manipulation for a different planetary environment. There seem to be no sapient non-humanoid life, but plenty of dangerous places with dangerous alien life.

Adventures could involve visiting dangerous worlds to retrieve materials or convicts, aiding local law enforcement, exposing a (particularly bad) corrupt prison warden, aiding a failing colony, helping fight off an invasion force (or aiding it). It could focus a bit more on endurance and survival in the dangerous environments than typical RPG scenarios do. (The first and the third movie are all about this.)

Does it count if there have been RPGs but they're no longer available? If so, I would include Star Trek and the Marvel Universe as two big and well known settings currently lacking a tabletop RPG. Two big cRPG with no tabletop equivalent would be Mass Effect and the Elder Scrolls. The other place I'd go would be to mythical India, the Mahabharata and similar tales, and I'd love to see a tabletop RPG to handle those.

(snip) as to what else i would want to see...how about a rejuvenated elric rpg (i know the old elric rpg's get much respect but let's get a relaunch) - michael moorcock wrote 20 sourcebooks a novel :D. those worlds are so evocative and violent and sensual, they beg for further attention.

I would love to see a non-BRP version of Elric!/Stormbringer with the same degree of care and attention given to the source material as happened with The One Ring.

I think it does a good job and I suppose with work it could be adapted. But the mythology of the shows are very different.

Why isn't there a Harry Potter RPG? You want to recruit to the hobby, there you go! Its got big name brand recognition right away.

Also, I wholly agree, three needs to be a Pokemon Licensed RPG
