D&D 5E PH(B) Hermit Background

The PHB has gone to the printers, yeah? I hope the two glaring grammatical errors in the Discovery feature section are from an older galley or mock-up, and aren't indicative of proof-reading for the new core books in general.

"Site" instead of "Sight". "damaging to the people who or consigned you" .. missing verb before the "or"?

Druid, or Paladin, or Ranger, or Cleric, or Barbarian, ...

Monk seems the most obvious class combo.

But also;

Fighter, the lone swordmaster who lives in the mountains.

Any arcane (non-bard) spell caster in a tower in the middle of no-where.

The obvious social characters, Rogue and Bard are probably the least likely combos.

This is fine, isn't it?

"It could be [an area of ground where a building or monument is constructed] that no one else has ever seen."

That's at least more interesting than "sight...no one else has seen".

Yeah, I didn't even read that as a typo. I think either site or sight could be used there; though I suppose "sight" would be more general.

I love seeing all the thoughts coming out of this. I'm so glad backgrounds are an integral part of the game. More glad that I had thought I'd be.

Oooh, and exiled Fighter who learned the Terrible Truth behind the Thirty Years War. If they knew who they were really fighting for, everything would change. But he needs proof.

That's a great teaser!

I'm happy to see the Hermit background, especially because a monastic background was one of the two I thought were missing from the playtest. The other one was a merchant background, I can still hope for that as well :)
