D&D 5E PH(B) Hermit Background

Can't wait for my next campaign. I we will do character creation and then I will setup the meta plot that incorporates these backgrounds. I have always done it the other way before.

Love it, more Backgrounds!

Interesting to note (if it hasn't already) is that the previews are missing the Flaws and Bonds tables. This means each background might occupy more than 1 page. Or they have cut out Flaws and Bonds from Backgrounds and the Basic pdf will need to be edited.

(Edit: OR they felt Flaws and Bonds were generic enough to make a couple (perhaps larger) mega tables)

On one hand I'll miss those tables a little, on the other, room for more Backgrounds!

(Edit: from the P:M sneaky preview it seems Flaws and Bonds are still in? So, multiple pages it is.)

The obvious social characters, Rogue and Bard are probably the least likely combos.

But not impossible:

Rogue - Lone Ghost: you were forced into a life of isolation, after all you held dear died at the hands of government officials. You took to the wilderness, living in isolation and surviving by stealing food and supplies from isolated farmsteads. You know better than to waylay merchant caravans, but lone travellers might "lose" flasks of oil or salted pork if they camp in the forest you call home.

Bard - Beastsinger: Disgraced after losing a musical competition upon which your future hinged, you turned your back on the comforts of civilization, taking to the mountains in search for the song of nature. You learned the songs of birds, the hums of bees and the rhythm of leaping deer.

The PHB has gone to the printers, yeah? I hope the two glaring grammatical errors in the Discovery feature section are from an older galley or mock-up, and aren't indicative of proof-reading for the new core books in general.

"Site" instead of "Sight". "damaging to the people who or consigned you" .. missing verb before the "or"?

Yeah, I noticed the second. Good catch.

Other than that, awesome!

Yay for first printings!

I think "site" was probably intentional, but I suppose it could be an error.
