I got mine. The sevice so far is incredibly buggy. Sometimes I can't deselect things, every single time I log in I have to sent a reset password to my email and when I log in it asks me to change my pass, then I do, and the next time it says I have the wrong pass so I have to do it all over again. The only way to switch pages is clicking on the tiny dots at the bottom or pressing the left and right arrows. The program itself, content wise and layout is awesome but it has a LONG way to go before It'll see any decent function at a table (imo).

Agreed. It is a huge stretch to call this a beta. It's an alpha, an early one. Worse than that, the whole thing feels like a "web application" that's trying really hard to pretend to be a native application. If I wanted an android or iOS app I'd be using a tablet. If it's on the web make it feel like a web application. For example, you have a URL bar. Use it for something. If I have a huge amount of state built up and I hit reload I shouldn't be dumped back at the home page (Which by the way, only lets you click through to character creation, because nothing else is implemented. Nothing tells you this though, and since nothing looks like a link you have to just figure out that the words at the bottom of the screen are things you can click on).

As I mentioned to you on Twitter - if you are finding bugs or have feedback, please let us know by posting it in the feedback forums - that's what they are there for.

As I find the time I will file more feedback with you (I've already left some). I just want to set people's expectations correctly. This application is not at a state I'd be willing to call "beta".

"Beta" is not a strict definition. However, you're right. In looking at the app as a complete product, there are many incomplete features, which would put the app more accurately into an Alpha state–if we were splitting hairs.

However, DungeonScape is a set of multiple tools in one app. We can release tools as we finish them and send them into the Beta. We aren't releasing tools to the public that are in an alpha state.

Currently, the tools that we have released are standard character creation, basic character sheet, and level up functionality. These particular features are in polish stage–therefore in beta.

Trapdoor is not a large company by any stretch, and DungeonScape is an extremely complex app. We simply have to do a bit of crowd-sourcing to help us get over the finish line. The best part about this is that you'll be able to see the app improve over time.

Rooneg – I appreciate your disappointment. What you're seeing is the very ground level, and the only direction we're heading is up.

I'm in (under my real name).

If you are waiting for the call, be reassured - the web beta does exist and people are getting invites.

Looking for bugs is easy, you just make some characters and see if they come out right, then try to break them. I recommend making notes, otherwise if you do break something, you won't have been expecting it and might not remember exactly how you did it.

The system for reporting bugs is well organised. If you think you've found one, there's a way to search to see if yours has already been reported previously. If it is, you can +1 it.

It's going to be a great product and it's a privilege to be allowed in, to help it reach maturity.

Happy to have you aboard (insert real name here)! Thanks for pointing out the bug reporting system and searching for feedback/bugs before entering. We've already merged a lot of duplicates. Notepad is a great pointer. Breathe and relax, it's gonna be good :)

I was gonna get all up in arms about Rooneg being a pessimest, etc., but then I realized that he taught me that the words across the bottom are buttons.

And so it was a helpful post (to me at least) after all.

And maybe I shouldn't be so darn judgmental.

And I guess I'll just continue to wait here compulsively checking my email. :p
