Aelspeth Noromiel, Emergent Conjurer

Aelspeth flexes her hands to keep them limber as she moves over, under, and around the stairs. She hadn't said anything in response to Arradon's remark, unsure of prudent etiquette in such a situation. Girl, this world has a lot to teach you, she thinks to herself as the party forges onward into the ruined keep. And if I'm going to keep up with this lifestyle, I'm going to have to leave behind far more of my youth than I ever imagined...

When Rak'tan suggests the group head downward, Aelspeth shrugs noncommittally. "Either direction is like to present one life-threatening danger or another."

As Rak'tan and Autumn descend the natty rope system, Aelspeth watches for a moment, convinced the ropes will snap under their weight. When those two don't immediately plummet to their shared doom and Arradon sets to following, she pushes her glasses up her nose and joins the procession.

The group climbs from the stairwell. It is a relief to be able to move in a normal fashion again but that doesn't distract anyone from paying attention to their surroundings. This room (level 2, room 3) is empty but for the debris of kobold living.
Climbing down the net, which seems to creak and fray ominously under Rak'tan's weight and lend credence to Aelspeth's worry, into the lower room (level 2, room 4) takes a few moments but once down this room seems as abandoned as the previous two living quarter rooms. Broken bones, bits of rotting food, the debris of weapons, foul-smelling blankets arrayed in a nest, but no sign of a lost wizard's apprentice.

There is another door opposite the one the group entered this room from (to room 1) but it is mostly blocked by the ruin of the wall and earth that has filled in behind it. That leaves only the uppermost room (level 2,room 2) to search for the apprentice Rak'tan was hired to find as there don't seem to be any kobolds on this level.

GM: Congrats Merry & Ealt! Aelspeth and Arradon level to 3 (Nov 11, with 3,309 xp). Feel free to go ahead and level up.
