D&D 5E Have Scorching Ray and eldritch blast been nerfed somehow with charisma?

I don't see how a warlock could invest in a ranged weapon to come close to 4d10+5, especially if only one hit was required for the +Cha damage. Just nitpicking and failing at lurking.

By the same token, Eldtritch blasts are all simultaneous.
Who says they're all simultaneous? It's easy to envision the warlock attacking quickly with back-to-back blasts, just as the fighter attacks quickly with back-to-back sword swings.

If you apply this 4 times, we will have warlocks all over the place very fast.
Do you have fighters all over the place? Because they can do the same thing. And twice per encounter they can double it.

It is not because this ability is for a player that it should beat the general rule.
Cite the general rule to which you are referring. Normally when you make multiple attacks, you apply your relevant ability modifier to the damage roll of each attack. See again the fighter, and every other class with Extra Attack. That's the general rule. The way Elemental Affinity works is the specific exception (and is so because it explicitly states "you can add your Charisma modifier to one damage roll of that spell").

By the same token, Eldtritch blasts are all simultaneous. That is why I would only add cha bonus once per targets that are hit. So would repeling blast only push the target 10' and not 40'. If you apply this 4 times, we will have warlocks all over the place very fast.
If you feel Eldritch Blast is too powerful, that's okay.

If you change it in your campaign, that's okay too.

But please don't pretend the RAW and the RAW agrees with that houserule of yours.
