Star Wars D6 - Force as Magic?

Hey there,

Has anyone ever used the Force from Star Wars D6 in a non-Star Wars campaign as a magic system?

If yes, how did it play? Were there any problems?

Cheers!

I don't know that it would make much sense to do that, except in terms of taking the entire d6 system, and just changing the setting. You'd have to work on how to match damage potentials of Force-users to others in a world without blasters, but other than that, there's no system-reason I can think of why you couldn't do that.

Essentially, that's what D6 Fantasy does...

Which, since it's free, is a fair download at DTRPG... why reinvent the wheel when you can use one aready done?

Not quite, but close. There are no combined spells that use all 4, or 2, or 3 of the magic skills, like Sense+Alter, or Control+Sense+Alter.

That sort of thinking is so very off to me. Everything can be improved, otherwise we'd still be driving Model-As ;)

Cheers!
