On a similar theme, has anyone run an isekai game? Where the players create their fantasy (or whatever) characters, and then in the narrative they play themselves, sucked into the fantasy world of the game, trnasformed into their characters. And they have to figure it all out?

Well there is the Konosuba TTRPG, if memory serves.

There's probably a whole bunch of Japanese TTRPGs based on licensed IP that we haven't seen in the West. I stumble across all sorts of exotic properties whenever I'm over there and rooting around in the games sections of bookstores.

Not that I'm pining for one, but as far as I know there's never been one, but I'm pretty surprised The Legend of Zelda never got a TTRPG. A Metroid TTRPG would be a cool sci-fi game too.
