D&D 5E Do you care about setting "canon"?

I'll take being confused over being wrong any day. I bet you wish you could be the former instead of the latter as well.

As has been pointed out earlier in the thread, "eladrin" meant one thing before 4e, 2e and 3e had them as CG extraplanar creatures, then the name was co-opted into teleporting elves in 4e. Going by the definition of eladrin from 2e/3e, I'm not at all sure 4e has them. Nevertheless, something bears that name in 4e - it's just not the same thing.

Nope. Eladrin lore seems largely consistent to me. Across editions. Basically, strongly feytouched elves from another plane. Cousins to the more "standard" elf. 2e? Check. 3.x? Check? 4e? Check. 5e? Check.

They were celestials in previous editions... not elves...you were probably "confused" about that....

They also had their own subraces and were PC races in 2nd edition and 3rd edition...not sure if you were "confused" or "wrong" concerning this.

It's not my job to educate you on the differences between pre-4e Eladrin and post 4e Eladrin... You jumped into a conversation without knowing anything about what you were speaking on... whether that was just you being "confused" or just "wrong" about your assumptions and knowledge... I'll let you figure out on your own.

It shouldn't be that hard to find the lore and game stats since according to some posters at least all the lore is out there for free... so stop being ignorant of the subject you are failing at discussing and actually go educate yourself.
