I want you to create a 20th level character!

But there is a catch!

It has to contain at least 1 level from each of the 12 core classes in the PHB.

Classes:

  1. Barbarian
  2. Bard
  3. Clerid
  4. Druid
  5. Fighter
  6. Monk
  7. Paladin
  8. Ranger
  9. Rogue
  10. Sorcerer
  11. Warlock
  12. Wizard

You can show it level-by-level, or the finished product.

You will be using the normal point buy rules.

Feats are allowed!

Human with 14, 14, 14, 13, 13, 13 array after racials

In no particular order

1. Fighter - Archery Fighting Style
2. Fighter - Action surge
3. Fighter - Battle Master
4. Fighter - ASI +2 Dex
5. Fighter - Extra attack
6. Fighter - ASI +2 Dex
7. Barbarian - limited rage, possible unarmored defense
8. Cleric - War for limited bonus action attack
9. Rogue - Expertise in Stealth and Perception
10. Monk - 1d4 unarmed attacks
11. Warlock - Fiend
12. Sorcerer - Draconic for Unarmored Defense
13. Wizard -
14. Bard -
15. Druid -
16. Paladin -
17. Ranger -
18. Bard - Jack of All Trades
19. Paladin - Dueling Fighting Style, Smite
20. Druid - Moon

13 Str, 18 Dex, 14 Con, 13 Int, 14 Wis, 13 Char

Looks like Draconic AC of 17 without shield and 19 with shield is the best option

I'm not figuring out cantrips and spells lol

Ok. Most of the classes are casters. Because of this set up, the max spell level will be low but there will be a lot of spell known and spell slots. This means that the best possible class is some kind of "gish" - someone who uses magic to enhance her fighting.

The best way to ensure that this works somewhat is to take classes that all have the same stat requirement. What stat is the most common? Charisma. And if you take hexblade, you can use charisma as your "combat stat".

So I would recommend taking more levels in bard (college of sword), paladin, hexblade and maybe a bit of sorcerer (draconic). That makes 4 classes. You have 8 classes left, that will only take a single level each (sort of "garbage" class, although one could make an argument to take 2 levels of fighter. Oh and make that wizard and abjurer). This means that you have 12 levels left to play with with the 4 main classes, surely something good could be achieved with that :)

I'll note that to get the 2 attacks, you'll need either 5 levels of paladin, of hexblade or 6 levels of college of sword. Level 6 paladin has a really good ability too (aura) and so does college of sword (inspiration points on short rest), so fewer levels in hexblade and sorcerer is probably for the best.

That is the general route to success. Can't be bothered with details :P

You need a 13 in every stat but con (which still needs a 12), so I'd go half elf adding points to dex and str and start with 14 str, 13 dex, 12 con, 13 int, 13 wis and 14 chr. Then I'd add 6 levels paladin, 4 more fighter (likely EK), then 1 from each other class. The spell slots help with the smites. Big Weapons fighter type with a hope he finds a great strength item along the way.

Defualt human point buy

12
12
12
13
13
13

After racials.

13 str
13 int
13 wis
14 Dex
14 Con
14 Cha

Early build

1 Sorcerer

1 Rogue
2 Warlock

3 Bard (lore)
1 Cleric (knowledge

Proficient in every skill almost, then take 4 more Sorcerer levels, 1 more bard level and one level each in all of the classes.

1 Barbarian
1 Druid
1 Fighter
1 Monk
1 Paladin
1 Ranger
1 Wizard

Basically play a skill monkey archer using eldritch blast, sacrifice your spell slots for more sorcerer points and quicken EB.

Tweaking that

Paladin 8
Warlock 2 (hexblade)
Sorcerer 1
Wiz 1
Bard 1
Cleric 1

etc

EB spam plus Paladin base, 2 ASI, key everything off charisma, have a decent amount of spell slots and smite stuff.
Warlock 2

Some kind of support all knowing character. Mainly a Bard.

Diviner Portent Wizard 2
Life Cleric 1
Lore Bard 6
Warlock 2
Barbarian 1
Rogue 2
Ranger 1
Fighter 1
Paladin 1
Sorcerer 1
Monk 1
Druid 1

This character is theorized but a real version would be:
Lore Bard 7
Warlock 2
Diviner Portent 2
Life Cleric 1
Fighter 3
Paladin 2
Rogue 3

This one will have Cutting Words, Portent and Lucky to mess around. Be tankish with fullplate+Shield. It will drop buffs like impr. invy and haste and do at-will dmg with EB + Agonizing Blast. Can smite and have action surge and will be a very strong Healer. Will optimize his reactions, bonus actions and actions and will also be a monster skillmonkey. A solid and viable character for actual play with the flavor of "knowing all" and 7 classes.
