Wizard vs. Sorcerer: Which one would you rather play? Which would you rather be?

Let me put it this way:

Let me put this other way:

How many creatures seeking ultimate dominion over the multiverse are sorcerers, and how many are wizards? Yeah, sorcerers get the girls; wizards get the world.

Mwahahaha

Sorcerer because wizard seems like a sad and lonley profession. Their power can be taken from them and it was so hard earned that they guard it jealously.

Oh, yeah? When my Sorcerer uses his magic to dispose of your Wizard's spellbook, what then? You can't recharge! Or if my Divine Soul Sorcerer casts a Silence spell? My Sorcerer is still good to go if caught stark naked, bound, and gagged, thanks to Subtle Spell Metamagic... yeah he gets fewer spells known, but he also doesn't have the dependence on gear that the Wizard does. And if he's a Divine Soul Sorcerer, he can heal himself. So don't count the Sorcerer out as "lesser"... he just might surprise you.

And therein lies the response of an Int 10 Cha Who gives a $&#@ creature. My wizard calls such lower life forms "minions". My Int 20 wizard has thought of all of the above before breakfast, and has 10 ways of dealing with each of them. Come back and talk to me when you've learnt to tie your shoelaces, peon!

Mwuhahaha etc.

Really? Can you predict absolutely all contingencies? Even a subtle spell with cero external signs of it being cast at all that cannot be perceived let alone counteracted? Yes Int 20, but how good is your perception uh?

Besides why do you want to conquer the cosmos that much? Are you really so abrasive that the only way you could have something remotely resembling a friend is by enslaving them with magic?

Also the thing with sorcerers is that unlike wizards, we literally come from everywhere, EVERYWHERE, you cannot turn a stone without a sorcerer popping up.

I assure you my Int is quite above average, and you will care a great deal about my Char should we ever meet in (fictional) battle, Alkelhar. You're not the first Wizard to underestimate me...

Hmm, methinks this sorcerer is missing the point. But, that is entirely to be expected... :)

Wizard.

Despite the fact that the spellbook is definitely a burden and that Subtle Spell would be extremely handy, the simple fact that in my entire life as a Sorcerer I would never be able to learn more than only 15 spells is a dealbreaker.

For the emergency healing, I'd get a Magic Initiate feat.
