What would you want to see in a 5e CRPG set in FR?

An AI to intuitively run the game based on player decisions.

Deep inside the AI's programming, at the bottom of the serpentine, recursive series of loops, if/thens and switches - when the AI can see no way to proceed, there is this line:

Code:
default: rocks_fall("Everyone dies");

Eberron with a classic pulp/noir adventure, and the option to play as as many races as possible. Dragon Age, as a 5e based rpg.

Or, Dragonlance, with Weiss and Hickman on the team, 5e based, literally a CRPG retelling of the war of the lance.

Or, a game that mixes the factions, changing story, varied backgrounds, but semi-linear story of the Dragon Age games, with the game play of the best Assassins Creed and Shadow of Mordor games, and really solid voice acting.

Probably best to place it between Cormyr and Balder's Gate, with future expansions in each direction. The initial metaplot could be something like LMNOP (Lost Mines of Phandelver) where you are taming an area of "frontier".
Balder's Gate already has an audience, so you get a boost from that.
Advertise ahead of time that the original module will not be a L1-L20 campaign, there will be later add-ons to accomplish that.
One module I would like is an "On The Road Again" expansion where you set the cities you want to travel between and you accompany a caravan from Here to There with level-appropriate but unconnected encounters. Consumer polls could later guide what to develop more from what the players really liked.

Computerized Role Playing Game.

I long for the day when CRPG means Console RPG and not Computer RPG, especially if more consoles go the hybrid portable route that the Nintendo Switch does.

As for an actual game, I would love a Tactical RPG like the old Final Fantasy Tactics or the Fire Emblem series.

This. If the game is good enough, I will go out and buy a new console if I don't own the supported one, but I'm just done with playing games on a laptop. Even though I can connect the lap top to my TV ... I just don't want to bother. When it comes to gaming, I just want to sit back on my couch and just play.

I'd like to see it play out in a setting other than FR. I have some preferences, but putting the game's story in almost any non-FR D&D setting would be preferable to FR.

I greatly disagree, I don't want the sword coast, but I want it on FR, preferable in an exciting region like the Old Empires region, the Lands of Intrigue, the Unapproachable East, Kara Tur, Maztica, Zakhara.

I find the use of "exciting region" as a descriptor of parts of FR to be quite hyperbolic. But, to each their own.
