Is it a believable Bond title? Yes.
Do I like it? No.

Will I watch it? Probably. Who is the Bond this time again? Do we get a Jane Bond yet? That could be cool.

Not getting Jane Bond but 007 is a female. No idea how they'll make it work or how the movie ends.

A literal Jane Bond could work, James daughter (let's face it he's been around enough). I wouldn't make her 007 though (006 or 008). Do a movie or two team based but write her completely different from her father. Make her smarter or some thing maybe a bit more like McGuyver or whatever.

007 never died you just kind of suspend disbelief with the new actor.

IDK how this movie will go, 007= James Bond is the guts of the franchise so it depends on how the movie goes. If the new one dies and Bond comes out of retirement becoming 007 again maybe but it's potentially a franchise killer.

In this case idk how it will play out.

Well I am excited for the female actress "Jane Bond".

I never got the impression that it was the same guy throughout, and had to suspend belief when his face or even hair changed. In fact, I more and more believe that James Bond is just part of the code name with 007. I mean sure... okay, maybe it is the same guy changing his appearance over the years, but then you can't as easily explain away technology changing as it has around him, and expect people to believe this guy isn't aging.

They're not technically gender swapping and idk how the movie will go.

I don't see it doing well if they retire Bond permanently though for a different 007 of any gender.

007=Bond, Jane's Bond. At least I don't see things working out well if they change that. Could be wrong. All that's been revealed is Bond is retired/burnt out.

If they have a different 007 and they coax James out of retirement resuming 007 and the next movie is a spin off or a double team effort that could work.

There's just to much weight behind Bond being 007 to change it, maybe his daughter could work.

Bit depends on how they do it IMHO. Replacing James Bond though I don't see it working financially.

The casting sheet as her character named Nomi and she's sent to bring James back into the fold for the mission,along with him attempting to seduce her,which fails.

And since we've seen a 006, I'm guessing someone had to become the new 007 since Bond went off to retire. This is also Craig’s last bond movie. So back to guessing who could play Bond for the 26th movie.

It's the same guy. Just like Batman has been the same guy since the 1930s or whatever, you have to ignore the franchise' longevity and inconsistent timeline. From his wife in Lazenby's OHMSS (mentioned in Moore's TSWLM and FYEO, and Dalton's LtK) to Skyfall where we see his childhood home, parents' graves (their names are Andrew and Monique Bond). He also left the job when he was Dalton, and Craig, and still kept the name James Bond. And he keeps the Aston Martin in a storage locker.

Don't think about it.

It's Bond you take it as is. It's not really supposed to hold up to logic, common sense etc. It's escapism/fantasy and has never taken itself to seriously.

OHMSS is underated, top 5 Bond movies IMHO.
