Yeah. Not buying it. Why would an imp be astonished by a spell caster? "Oh, wow, boss, that's some pretty interestingly flashy... magics you got going on there."

Pretty much standard Caldwell pinup art.
Obviously its because of how powerful the spell is. Or the imp was really caight off guard by the nature of the type of spell. Or any other non perverted thing that makes way more sense.

Since this thread is now about analyzing the motivations of this imp I asked an artist who happens to be female and have no real bias on the piece or artist, their opinion. FWIW they instantly determined that the imp wasn't actually looking at her body, based on the pupils.

Also FWIW they didn't mind that picture, but weren't too fond of the pirate one depending on context. Actually that picture of Lidda pulling her pants down (from 3e?) got the most nope from her, lol.

My favorite artist of D&D is probably Erol Otis with his weird drawings and crazy hats. But most editions have something cool. Though I didn't like the straps, buckles, and spikes 3e aesthetic and I skipped 4e. The trifecta of Elmore, Parkinson, and Caldwell are hard to top as well. The 5e stuff is mostly good though I hate the modern halfling.

Remarkably agree with each and every point here.

Particularly hated the straps of 3e and lack of coverage.

Are you the imp? You're trying really hard to defend it.
So every lawyer is a serial killer?
What a stupid question.
The simpler explanation is that i dont think the imp being perverted is realistic nor do i think its the simplest explanation.
Are YOU a witch hunter? Things are typically innocent. Lack of innocence is abnormal. Assume as much and you will go much further.

Why are you so worried about other people's opinions about things? Just as people are allowed to enjoy things you don't, people are allowed to dislike things that you do.

What does someone else's opinion about whether a piece of art is problematic or not have to do with you? Even if you made the damn art, just don't care about them, they aren't the ones you're making the art for.

I agree with you on the rest of this, but the imp...just isn’t leering. It isn’t even looking at her body.

Like...it’s eyes are wide and mouth open in a textbook look of astonishment.

Im not worried about it. You made a dumb accusation and i replied. I really dont care. I replied because you approached me directly. Your behavior is currently bordering on duplicitous. That or you just havent noticed the irony of your recent statements.

Do you have a real criticism or are you just going to continue blowing hot air at me. I can ignore you if thats what you want. Seems like you are saying i should ignore you. But i get the feeling that you would somehow have a problem with a response or a lack of one. Seeing as you directly called me out and then called me out for responding to you calling me out.

Does this seem like a reasonable exchange to you? Stop flip flopping. Because you pretty much are doing that.
