D&D 5E Where is the content?

You might like to take a look at my conversion of Age of Worms to 5e.

If you are willing to spend some time, I would be interested in hearing what about War of the Burning Sky and Zeitgeist did not fit your group. You can message me if you like to not derail the thread.

My group is about to finish Descent into Avernus, we have played every hard back released so far, the Extra Life stuff, Goodman Games Keep on the Borderlands reprint and some of our number have played all of the Adventurers League content released so far so what's next? We have run out of content!

I am a True Believer Kool Aid Drinker and own every 5th edition book released so far in at least two formats (Hard copy, Beyond and Special Eds) and I like the slow release schedule so this is not the rant of a naysayer but I think the release schedule this year is out of kilter. The two new setting books are fine but what we really need is adventures!

We play once a fortnight for 6/7 hours and I guess we are pretty quick but surely not unreasonably so. We convert old adventures (I am running Night Below next) and we liberally use 3rd party stuff but finding decent 3rd party APs is tricky and converting can be laborious. We don't really homebrew because we find it can vary in quality to put it mildly and we are also full adults with jobs and commitments and stuff, we want to pick up a book, do standard prep and run it.

TL:DR We need more Adventures!
Jeeze, we have been playing since the beginning of 5e and haven't are just getting to level 15! If we had run official adventures we just be about to finish out first one!

That being said there is lots of good content out there. I guess you just finished but DMsGuild as few good items to extend Descent into Avernus, taking it to level 20.

Not to mention War of the Burning Sky and Zeitgeist from EnWorld. I am sure there are others, but we don't have the homebrew / conversion issues you seem too.

Does your group have one DM or do you rotate. If it is just one, I would think he/she would have enough system mastery know to create a improvise an adventure pretty well. I mean, my goodness I don't have a 10th of the experience running actual games and I think it is pretty simple (everyone is different of course).

I realise that I am a heavy user but I just don't think unreasonablly so.
You are though. That's OK, you can still want more of something you love, there is nothing wrong with that. However, I have never heard of anyone playing as much and/or going through as much content as you have. Not in my local area, or on these boards. Everyone I have heard complain about not enough adventures has passed on a good chunk (because they don't want to run them or thing they are bad) and/or has no interest in 3PP content.

There is still stuff out there you haven't run, but it may take some work (have your tried AiME or any of their adventures?) Good luck!

Seems like a good balance between RPing and mechanics. I just started a new campaign last night and thats kind of where I hope to get my players soon. Half RPing and half mechanical encounters. I just want them not to take forever to make a decision as you said.
We think so!

M.T. Black has some good content (and good articles here on EnWorld), he has 14 adventures bundled together for $10 on DM's Guild right now: Black Bundle

That might be a good place to start.
Thanks Dave, we've used a lot of MT Black's stuff and I would highly recommend, particulary The Lich Queen's Begotten and Riddle of the Raven Queen.

We're already using Avernus Encouters and I will point the DM in the direction of the other stuff.

Haven't looked at Zeitgeist but with War of the Burning Sky I felt it was too much of a change from our current campaign. Would have taken an awful lot of hacking and changing etc and if I'm going to do that type of work I might aswell convert Night Below and be done with it.

We rotate and to be honest any of us could homebrew etc and we do to an extent but we are full adults with square jobs and commitments etc so that is a factor. Another is that I/we happen to think that Mearls, Crawford, Perkins et al are basically geniuses. We absolutely 5e and 5e products. We are happen to pay cold hard cash for them to do it for us.
