D&D 5E Meet Hercules, The Mightiest Demigod!

The mighty Hercules (or Heracles) is an iconic Greek hero, and a true mythological figure. Mythological Figures & Maleficent Monsters, coming soon to Kickstarter, compiles Mike Myler's fantastic column here on EN World, with brand new art in a gorgeous full-colour book.

Have you been to LevelUp5E.com yet?
Tbh his mental stats dont actually make sense.

If you actually know greek myth then you know that heracles was actually mentally profoundly gifted. Far above average. Not a dumb brute. 1 part nerd 1 part jock 1 part politician with anger issues. None of them should be below a 13. Nit even wisdom. Afflicted with madness=/=low wisdom. Impulsivity and anger issues again=/=low wisdom. They are personality flaws yes. But heracles is actually fairly wise. Not super wise. But fairly.

All that said, otherwise, pretty cool.

These are all built using standard ability scores (27 points) as per the core rules. As he is now you could walk into any high-level game and play him as a pregenerated character (same goes for any other character in Mythological Figures). You could drop his Dexterity down some to get a few up a bit, but depending on how much you do that by his challenge rating will need to shift down.

Hmmm. I see. Fair point.

Thank you for another great write up. I have been going through your prior write ups and am really enjoying the different types of characters you have developed. One area, I would love to see more of is Pirate characters. You have some great ones like Blackbeard, Anne Bonney and Mary Read. I would like to see some write ups for some other Golden Age of Piracy notables including: Charles Vane, Jack Rackham and Benjamin Hornigold.

I think pirates is the single group we have most of!

Hecules should not be locked into a 27 points, he's not standard at anything, he's a demigod, not mortal.
