Quirky bit Doctor Strange is identified as a Bodhisattva too.
One might be tempted to shrug that off as silly superheroes trying to sound "big" except Strange has some very... let's call them suitable spells.

The Crimson Bands of Cyttorak I seem to recall being described as the stronger you are the tighter they bind you. Its a careful wisdom will get you out of it and your brute strength will be turned against you.

I think Heracles is sometimes identified as Chthonic and it may the association with fertility ... though also be stories about seeing supernatural things like death and wrestle it directly to effective heal the mortally sick (could be a description of extreme medical help rendered like modern resuscitation procedures). Or because he was portrayed as talking to Odysseus in Hades? hmmmmm that now sounds like some getting to know oneself in an OBE.
