D&D 5E Psionics in Tasha

I don't suggest you kludge square pegs into round holes. I suggest making your own personalized tools to suit your own personalized needs. Why be dependent on WotC to invent round pegs for you?
So then you are in fact suggesting that we kludge square pegs into round holes. This doesn't work for us. I'm not going to design a psion. I have neither the time, nor inclination to design, playtest, re-design, playtest, re-design, playtest, etc. I get 4 hours a week to play and when I run, I get maaaaybe another hour or two to prepare. I just don't have time to do that work.

Psionic inTasha won’t be core. So if nobody use them, they will eventually make another variant of the psionic.

editing every spell at casting is an overhead the game avoid to keep things simple and fluid.
It’s only a game design decision.
The weave, the formula are only fluff, appealing for those who keep track of the core lore of DnD.
.
I'm talking about adding text about power points to all psionic spells

5e was the first D&D where spell had any internal metamagic. It was always hard unchanging blocks of text.

I don't see how this conversation takes very long:

Sorcerer: "Can I spend 2 sorcery points to double the weight lifted by my levitate spell?"
DM: "Sure. Roll a DC 12 Charisma (Arcana) check and let's see what happens."

(he, him)
Because then people who want psionics would continue to whine for bespoke psionics rules. This is their way of saying, 'here are your psionics rules, whether you like it or not.'
Ah yes, good old embrace and destroy. I believe I have expressed my opinion on that to you before.

That conversation is irrelevant to what I'm saying. I don't care how fast you can kludge it. I don't care how quickly you fiat something. The speed at which you get it wrong for me isn't relevant.

Heh. If this is what they are going to put into Darksun, it won't do nearly as well as they hope and may bomb. It's the old timers, not the new folks who have been clamoring for Dark Sun to come back. The same old times that they are screwing over with these psionics.
It may bomb (I doubt it, anything setting book sells like hot cakes), but WotC's business model is aimed at new players, not Grognards. There are ideas and themes in Dark Sun that stand on their own without having to relay on rose tinted nostalgia.
