Missing Extended Spell Lists for Sorcerer Subclasses

Following the formula for Abberant and Clockwork Sorcerer from Tasha's Guide to Everything.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in the sorcerer class, as shown in the following tables. Each of these spells counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.

Whenever you gain a sorcerer level, you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level, from the sorcerer, warlock, or wizard spell list. The new spell must be selected from the schools of magic listed below each table.

Edit: Further Thoughts
As others pointed out, WoTC might got carried away with this rule. Adding 10 spells known to the Sorcerer's repertoire with the additional spell swapping is perhaps a bit too much. Removing the spell swapping and/or reducing the additional spells from two to one per level, seems to be a more reasonable option.

* Xanathar's Spell * Tasha's Spell

Draconic Sorcerer
1st: Chromatic Orb, Earth Tremor
3rd: Dragon’s Breath*, Scorching Ray
5th: Fear, Fireball
7th: Fire Shield, Wall of Fire
9th: Circle of Power, Immolation
Swap with: Abjuration or Evocation

Divine Sorcerer
1st: Bless, Command
3rd: Enhance Ability, Spiritual Weapon
5th: Call Lightning, Spirit Guardians
7th: Banishment, Guardian of Faith
9th: Creation, Destructive Wave
Swap with: Conjuration or Evocation

Shadow Sorcerer

3rd: Darkness, Invisibility
5th: Gaseous Form, Summon Shadowspawn*
7th: Shadow of Moil*, Phantasmal Killer
9th: Antilife Shell, Seeming
Swap with: Illusion or Necromancy

Storm Sorcerer
1st: Fog Cloud, Thunderwave
3rd: Blur, Gust of Wind
5th: Lightning Bolt, Sleet Storm
7th: Summon Elemental* (air or water), Storm Sphere
9th: Control Winds, Cone of Cold
Swap with: Conjuration or Evocation

Wild Sorcerer
1st: Chaos Bolt*, Chromatic Orb
3rd: Alter Self, Pyrotechnics
5th: Blink, Counterspell
7th: Compulsion, Polymorph
9th: Animate Objects, Creation

Edit2:
Moved Ranger's lists below and replaced Hold Monster with Awaken as the Beast Master's 5th-level spell.

Missing Extended Spell Lists for Ranger Subclasses

If I checked correctly only Hunter and Beast Master from Player's Handbook don't have their own extended spell lists. Also, in Tasha's all rangers get additional extended spells form Primal Awareness (speak with animals, beast sense, speak with plants, locate creature and commune with nature) so I wanted to avoid these.

You learn an additional spell when you reach certain levels in the ranger class, as shown in the following tables. Each spell counts as a ranger spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of ranger spells you know.

Beast Master
3rd: Animal Friendship
5th: Summon Beast*
9th: Haste
13th: Dominate Beasts
17th: Awaken

Hunter
3rd: Snare
5th: Pass Without Trace
9th: Tiny Hut
13th: Stone Skin
17th: Tree Stride

If your allow the whole swap thing anyway, instead of having static list, why not just say that:

A Draconic sorceror can choose any Wizard, Sorc, or Warlock spell from the Abjuration or Evocation spell school.

Sorcs basically only get 1 spell per level anyway (with 1 extra at 1st level), so your practically already allowing the above, why not just go all the way?

Sorcerers in Tasha's learn two additional spells from extended lists on level 1,3,5,7 and 9 - only those spells can be swapped, and only one of them per level. My intention was to provide the same option for sorcerer subclasses from previous books.

I guess it works, I'd prefer things to be a little more fluid though.

For some I'd be inclined to do the following:
  • Draconic Sorcerer. Choose two spells for spell levels 1 to 5 related to dragons or to your draconic element. I'd probably create a pool of spells instead of limiting it to certain schools, a draconic sorcerer could probably choose cause fear if as one of these spells if they wanted.
  • Storm Sorcerer. Choose any spell related to wind and storms or which deals lightning or thunder damage.
  • Wild Sorcerer. Here's a list, roll on it!
Otherwise, Your set lists are fine, I do think the schools could be a little limiting in some cases and players might ask why they can't learn X spell even though it really fits the theme.

I agree. But I wanted to follow the format provided in Tasha's for Aberrant and Clockwork Sorcerer and just give the same option to other sorcerer subclasses.

Friendship is Magic, and Magic is Heresy.
I wouldn't say it's missing it, Bob.

25 spells known is a ton; it's a pity they couldn't make sorcerers more interesting some other way, but basically throwing more spells at a class that has as its chief negative a small spell selection is lazy.

@ph0rk
Well, Tasha's in general is a mixed bag with player options going from overpowered to overly nerfed (cough pact of talisman cough).
For me this is just a starting point, which I'll tweak later, depending on the in-game feedback. Choosing one spell from two available without additional swapping, seems more reasonable.

Sure - and I don't mean to argue that other sorcerer subclasses shouldn't be brought in line - they should. But merely adding spells as the fix to the class is disappointing.

That said - I don't know about letting anyone but a warlock (or a @#$@#$ bard) have access to shadow of moil (or hunger of hadar - not on your list, but for completeness). G.invis instead fits better, I'd argue.
