The mandalorian [Spoilers]

Yes, I edited it out. Sorry.

I seem to recall some source indicating that Vader couldn't use Force lightning because of his cybernetic hands, but that might be Legends material now. Probably some novel or other that I read ages ago.

Anyway, my point was simply that being a cyborg seems to be a disadvantage for Vader, so I'm not sure why you'd want to deliberately make a Force-sensitive cyborg.

On a side note, I'd be interested to note the extent and function of Fennec's cybernetic parts. It looks like her intestines have been replaced by mechanical bits. I wonder if that means she no longer has to eat or drink, or if there are machine parts that do what her intestines used to do. Just idle curiosity at this point.

I can answer that but it's legends based.

Vader still can't use force lightning in new canon except in the spiritual realm.

I wonder if this episode was shorter because we are getting to the ones that were finished up after the covid pandemic really got going? I noticed there was very little face-to-face contact between the actors, rather a whole lot of helmet-to-helmet. And does that mean the final two episodes will be shorter too?

I also was sort of annoyed by the quick-time moments in the battle, where things were moving at normal speed and then suddenly went double speed for a couple of seconds. I guess we can blame that on Robert Rodriguez directing.

Maybe. There were some pretty short ones in the first season as well, though, and on average, season 2's episodes have been longer so far.

Season 1: 39m, 32m, 37m, 41m, 35m, 43m, 40m, 48m (average = 39m)
Season 2: 54m, 41m, 35m, 39m, 47m, 33m (average = 41.5m)

Season best to worst

1,3,5
6
4
2

Close draw on the best 3 loved them all can't pick a winner.

4 was still pretty good, 2 was the worst episode and it wasn't bad or anything.

The internet seems to think she's just got cyborg abs, rather than cyborg innards. What do you guys think?

I do not think they are full droid, though. I got the feeling there are still bits of sentient creatures inside them, so more cyborg than droid. Maybe they house the brains of Force-sensitive sentients? Dark Troopers -- Dark Force sensitives.
Hmm. . . General Grievous 2.0? This time force sensitive and with flight? That would be freaking awesome. Gideon Moff needs to find some lightsabers for those guys and build them into their armor.

This is by far my favorite episode of both seasons. Boba Fett in his old armor taking out all of the troopers literally made me smile and laugh in joy. Nothing else in this series has done that to me.

Also, we all know that Disney isn't going to kill their cute little green goblin just yet. Mando and his allies will get him back in the final showdown of this season.
