Indeed. He needs the pocket money (is that the English word?) from his parents because over a regular day he casts Nondetection six times, that's 150 gp in material component. The build burns at least 80k gold a year on nondetection only.

And a third subpar build: Contingent Sending, message "Get out, an assassin may be after your!" to self, triggered by an assassin being within 1,000 ft. This subpar cowarly wizard only has ONE spell prepared this day: planeshift. And prestidigitation as a cantrip to deal with soiled pants. The Cheating One should have no problem defeating these three if he wants to have a shot at "the world".

The funniest thing about all this is seeing Wizard scared. HAha

The best of it is Toddin, The Rogue's assassin level 3 making you teleport ::

Toddin: "I am very powerful, I made this level 20 fat Wizard teleport out of fear of me."
"Toddin a assassin level 3 Wizard Slayer."

Toddin: "Why are you so afraid?
Fat Wizard: "I don't know, but I know it, I'm just running away to another plane because I'm a badass."
Toddin: :sneaky: You're just another coward.

The Bastion casts Subtle Empowered Meteor Swarm at 1 mile and the fat Wizard is dead.

Mind Blank is totally free.

Mind Blank is totally free.

Except that you specified you only cast Mind Blank on days you attack, not on regular days, and that you can't cast Mind Blank on everyone in your party of three, because "twinned" means two, you see. Trying to cheat?

Dimention Door, Etherealness and Plane Shift spell disagree. :ROFLMAO:
Dimension Door is spellcaster only. So you leave your Simulacrum and Assassin behind.
Planeshift leaves you on another plane, and you must wait for the next day to come back, with no fine control on your destination.
Etherealness is self, unless upcast to 8th level... Do you really mean you upcast it to 8th level to cross a river?

The Bastion casts Subtle Empowered Meteor Swarm at 1 mile and the fat Wizard is dead.

How do you recognize someone 1 mile away? I see you are back to silly strategies, meteor swarming everyone one mile away.
Plus, if you are on attack day, you already cast Mind Blank, expanding your 9th level spell slot. So, as soon as you start casting Meteor Swarm, well... you saw it coming, didn't you?

Contingent Tenfold Fiery Shearing of the Character Sheet triggers, for the third time.
The subpar fat wizards wins.

It wouldn't even work all the time. While an amazing area of effect attack, Meteor Swarm, even empowered, only deals on average 142 damage, so that's 71 with a save for half. Only 3% of the people you barely see in the distance and on which you cast meteor swarm would die, when they happen to be a wizard. And it would do no damage on the Dim Dooring wizard.

The people of your empire are wondering why all the tax money you promised for distribution to help the poor and needy has been diverted to by you to build a wall on the southern border to keep "Wizards" out. They are also wondering why you keep giving the Thieves guild no bid contracts. Although the people were very happy that you had solid gold statues made in your own image and had them placed in all the population centers around the empire, of course it is too bad they were all stolen over night. I am totally sure its not the Foggy Bottom Illusionists Guild or anything like that, I mean wizards could not possible infiltrate The Cheating Ones government.
