Unfortunately death will put a damper on productivity.
Not always it will stop new material from coming out. Look at Barbara Cartland. A huge amount of previously unreleased stuff were published after her death.. Saw something that she had done over 800 novels. ;)

Good point and now that you mention it both artists I mentioned have had posthumous releases. Tupac released what 2000 cds since his death?

yeah hes been back since 1999-2000. Hes been back longer now than he was with them originally. He had throat cancer in 2014.
I have seen them about three times in the last 6 years.

their shows are Very worth the money. And yes, the geezers and especially Bruce run wild like young dudes leaping off of things etc.

some of their newer music is good. If not whole albums I always find some gems

Saw them for No Prayer For the Dying in 1990, then probably 5 or 6 more times through the years since. Always put on a great show. They just came through town in August of 2019 iirc but I decided I had seen them enough to deal with the heat and the crowds to go that time. You are right, as much as I can only take their newer stuff in small doses, there are always at least a few standout tracks on each new CD.

yeah! One of the shows maybe 2015 was so hot...drank mostly water and not beer!

But true enough if u have seen em that much you probably are good to go!

i wEnt to see slayer at the same venue and they were insane....

saw Motörhead thinking Lemmy would not last forever...sure enough it was their last tour. Both they and slayer have been great until the end in terms of skill and both have releases some songs (like maiden maybe not whole albums) that are good. Megadeth is likewise good live with some fresh metal over the years. All good live.

nonmetal bands from early 90s...still think Radiohead are absolutely genius decades later.

Saw Maiden and Motorhead in the mid 2000s. Saw Slayer and Megadeth for the Clash of the Titans tour in 1990. Alice in Chains and Anthrax were on the bill too. Both were awesome shows, but the CotT shows was one of the best Ive seen. You couldnt even see the stage for Slayer because the mosh pit kicked up so much dust. Honestly Anthrax stole the show I thought.

In one tour 2018? We saw megadeth and slayer! And I have seen anthrax too: saw them with slayer at a smallish venue!

most shocking to me was anthrax lead singer. His voice has not aged! It gives me hope! Lanb of god played one of the shows (think they were before slayer actually at a large out door venue) and seeing the dude with white hair throw down like a young dude did my heart good!

I am not ancient....40s...but I take inspiration from these bands that keep going. Getting a lot of gray in my facial hair...but I crank it up in my car! My youngest likes metal now too.

they were able to request songs for an online school party worth their teacher. At 6 he requested “steambr(eaver)” aka steam breather by mastodon! His teacher loved it (her husband likes the band apparently).

He'll flip ya...Flip ya for real...

They are still pulling things from Prince's vault.

Of the early thrash bands, Anthrax took me the longest to warm up to. That said, I also think they are then most consistently good. I don’t hesitate adding their releases to my cart like I do Metallica, Megadeth, or others.
