After a full week of insults, barbed exchanges, and problematic statements from all three accounts, the following has been posted by somebody who identified themselves as "Michael", perhaps suggesting that Justin LaNasa is no longer with the company (which seems unlikely), leaving many on social media to question whether "Michael" exists. The new TSR3 was founded by LaNasa, Stephen Dinehart, and Ernie Gygax, and despite the acrinomious social media activity, the former two founders' names have largely escaped much of the criticism.

UPDATE -- the below tweets now appear to have been deleted.

Around the same time, the header above the available events at the Dungeon Hobby Shop Museum website was altered to read: "Most role playing games will be played in old school fashion so if you're easliy offended or Rude ! DO NOT PLAY !" (sic)

So who is TSR3 co-founder Justin LaNasa? He was an American politician who ran for office in 2014 and 2020, and who was involved in a minor scandal during the latter campaign.

All of this makes sense, but then why attract so much attention with the hideous statements? They would have been better served in this by a pretense of niceness.

I'm not convinced it's about the money. And they don't need everyone
Heck, this faux old school bunch would likely be offended by something so "woke" as ascending AC.

Probably I prefer ascending AC even in OSR gaming.

A B/X clone with ascending AC is probably the easiest D&D you can find to run.

Ok, I am a bit confused on something. My brain was damaged by high fevers and 6 weeks of induced coma almost 10 years ago and I get a 'processing error' on some things, such as this.
I have
1. TSR: owned by EGG sr., stolen by M. Weiss and co, went bankrupt.
2. bought by WoTC, via R. Dancey and resurrected and labled 3rd ed and to present .. .. ..
3. there was a 2nd TSR, on the old liscense run by a Justin D. [?]
4. Justin allegedly let the liscense lapse and it is taken up by someoneon twitter known as 'Mike' who says Justin was let go.

Do I have this right? did TSR 2 change to solariam games or did TSR 3 do that?
1. Aquired by Lorraine Williams in a legal, but stinky situation.
2. Fairly much.
3. Trademark for TSR Games (TSR2) aquired Jayson Elliot, but the trademark lapses.
4. Justin LaNasy and company slimily aquire the lapsed trademark to found the dumpster fire that is TSR, Inc. (TSR3)
5. Jayson rebrands TRS Games as Solarian Games to distance it from TSR3.

Almost, but move one bit around:

"Jayson 'oopsied', Justin and EGG and co. saw $$$, Jayson and EGG and co. is trying to rebound and renamed to keep klean."

EGG is with Justin/TSR3, not Jayson/TSR2/Solarian.

One thing I wanted to clarify is that Margaret Weis never ran TSR. She did run Sovereign Press, which transitioned into Margaret Weis Productions. I was honored to work with her and the awesome design team on the Dragonlance 3.5 products.

Also, sorry to hear about your health issues. I hope you're better now.

Point 1: Blume brothers sold their shares to Lorraine Williams, who ousted Gary in 1985. Many were not happy with this event but it was in no way stolen. TSR was a sinking ship at this point and as much as we loved the early days it was a poorly run business that suffered from High production costs, overstock filling space that needed to be paid for, book deals used as "loans or cash floats", the list goes on.

From what I've read in a few sources, Gary didn't have to sell her his shares either. He could have worked with Lorraine Williams, but chose not to. I can't fault her for that.

As an aside, it was nice to take a break from all this for the evening and find nothing exploded with 3SR in that time. I got to enjoy the game and see the Bucks win! Hope you all have a safe & enjoyable 4th!
