That leaves me wondering how they will handle Kor (Goliaths, Gith or Aasimar?), Merfolk (likely Tritons again), Vampire (likeky Dhampyrs), and others.

I mean yeah those work too, but one could probably also use the Kor/Merfolk/Vampires from the Planeshift web articles. Heck one could even make up their own MTG "core" race set by just jacking all the races from the Planeshift articles and plopping them right down into Strixhaven.

The Planeshifts are unofficial, hence why these setting aren't dmsguild legal for example.

So I was right about the Dhampir's. Honestly the Vampire's of Strixhaven had more of a living vampire vibe like Innstrad, Vrylokas of FR, or vampires of Zendikar then regular D&D undead Vampires or undead Vampires of Ravnica.

Kor were important member of Lorehold and Silverquill. I personally lean towards Goliaths.
