Depends on the magic rating of the universe. At the high end, Soth toasts Vader with a fireball and finishes him off with a Power Word Kill. In the middle, magic fails and Vader has the advantage as the Force isn't strictly magical. Below that, the Force stops working too but Soth can't be reanimated so he just drops down dead.

Depends who gets initiative.

I could see Vader trying to Force-choke Soth and failing, which lets Soth get a fireball in (I'm going to assume Soth can size up Vader and assume he has too many HP for a PWK.) If Soth gets initiative, bang, fireball.

My sympathies are actually with Vader as the star of the larger franchise, but that's the way I see it.

If you really wanted there are d20 stats for each from the 3e era.

Yes. If their power don't cross the universes, Vader fails as his breathing apparatus ceases to function, long before Soth has time to start waking to meet him.

Even then, in the films, there is no evidence Vader is still able to fight efficiently anyway, besting only a old man far from the height of his Jedi Master time, a Jedi half-apprentice and his master who conveniently didn't have a lightsaber at the moment. Vader pre-disembowelment, limb-cutting and lava-bath would have been a more worthy opponent to Soth.

I voted Vador, because I assume they are pitched against each other at their peak power.
